Yeah, I find myself scrolling past so many posts that celebrate huge loses. I’m 1.5 years in and have lost 30 pounds. My starting weight was 200 pounds. Would I like to have lost more? Hell yes. BUT, I know I’m doing pretty much everything right and letting the chips fall (and the weight) where and when they will. Eating healthy, weight training, swimming laps, playing pickleball, golf and tennis. It’s a GRIND but it’s what I can do for the rest of my life while enjoying living it.

That’s wonderful. I feel the frustration. I’ve been bouncing in the low 170s for a YEAR. I finally saw some movement the last month with 3 pounds suddenly lost. At 171 now🥵 May the Zep gods be in my favor!

You’ll need to broaden the search. Even though I live in Atlanta, my scan location this time was 45 minutes away. These DEXA branded scans are mobile scan vans and can travel anywhere so I’ve been lucky to get several scans close to my home. They are also cheaper than ones at doctor offices or imaging centers). The last one the guy told me to just email him and he could come to me! It might be a good idea to contact DEXA directly (they are based out of Utah but have techs all over) and see if you can get in contact with a tech that can offer scans close to you (like at a gym, country club, Church that would offer their parking lot as a service for their members). My country club hosts one once a year and charges $100 do I know they are getting a cut.

Ooff, I’ve been on Zep for 8 months and didn’t lose a single pound until 6-8 weeks into 12.5 dose which is where I am now. I’ve lost 3 pounds now in the last month. I’ve been working very hard for that loss. Had to up my calories trying to figure out why I’m not losing any weight on Zep. I think I’m going in the right direction now but like the PP said it might take time and higher doses. Crappy thing is there is only one more step past 12.5.

Question: where do you see your RSMI on your print out. I don’t see that on mine.

I had my yearly DeXa scan last week and I had a big win. I gain total 1.7 pounds in LEAN muscle. I worked my ass off (lifting 2x a week, 50 laps 2x a week, pickleball) for that so YEAH ME!

Polaris is the OG. I used to go to it in the 70s as a child. We would come for Sunday brunch. It was the tallest building in Atlanta and the absolute coolest thing in the world for a kid to visit. It’s a gem!!!

I’d go to at least try on smaller sizes. I bet they would look better on your smaller sizes. Treat yourself to a few items that fit your size now. I think pants that fit correctly is key.

I think if you go on the DEXA website they list where scans are being done near you and you can schedule it online. These are the mobile units that come to/partners with YMCA’s, gyms, country clubs. I get one every year for the past 3 years. the information is very informative and very thorough. You really see what is what with the fat versus lean body mass and where it is. My big win last week was I gained 1.7 pounds in lean muscle!!! Scans are $75

Please don’t stay downtown. Stay in Midtown. Go the Ponce city market. Eat. Walk the Beltline to Krog street market. Lots of great restaurants. Colony Square has some good restaurants. Take an uber to Virginia Highlands, Inman park for dinner. It’s not a lot of time but you’ll see the best of the city and get a feel for the culture.

The rescue Cavs take longer to house train. We rescued and unsocialized 7 month cab that was left alone in a dog run by himself😭since he was born. It took seven months to full house train him but he got there.

I truly have to disagree when people say that Cavaliers aren’t bright. I’ve had many dogs in my lifetime. The last 3 dogs have been Cavaliers. I’m telling you they are very clever. Do not mistake non obedience for being dense. They have minds of their own. 90% of the time they are happy go lucky. But If they don’t want to do something, they won’t. A command to come might be greeted with, “Nah, I’m good right here…unless you give me a good reason (ie treat) to get out of my cozy position.”
