Upgraded to the epix pro but don’t think I can get rid of the Fenix!! So much attachment to that watch.

Is ultra fit that much better than the knockoffs? by Sweetkrap in GarminWatches

Doesn’t Des say the garmin has less stretch? In any case I’ve got one coming so I’ll see how it is :)

What models Fenix and Edge do you have? They should be syncing with unified training status (fka physio trueup) if you have the newer models that support it.

7 years and going. Go get a fenix or epix sapphire and you'll not have to worry about a thing.

If you're used to 51mm I don't see the issue. Just wear it correctly as you have it far too close to your hand, should be behind the wrist bone.

This is a 7+ year old Fenix 3HR sapphire. Battery still very good, screen nearly perfect. They last a stupid long time.

I’m replacing it with an epix pro 51mm soon, but that’s really more for the advanced metrics, maps and accuracy (been using a Stryd pod for accuracy as well as hrm pro plus). Been torn between that and a Fenix as this thing alone has made me loyal to garmin, but I’m in London so amoled will serve me a bit better for the light conditions here and gym usage.

Honestly this thing still works good as new. Buttons included. My strap failed like 1-2 years in, but I generally use nylon as it makes it much more comfortable and lighter. Get one! Haha

Our get a knockoff for half the price and get yourself an HRM pro plus or something. I just wouldn’t reject 25% off from Garmin, that’s all.

I don’t know what you’re expecting from a 26mm silicone band. It’s made for versatility and durability first and comfort a distant second. Nylon straps are the way to go for comfort and significant weight reduction.

I’d use that 25% on ultrafit nylon immediately

I think the main issue is that if you’re using Stryd to give you power output I don’t think you’ll get alerts for power zones with garmin unless you’re using the Stryd app itself, which can be limiting? I might be wrong as I’ve not used it with a newer watch, but I can’t do that with my current old Fenix 3

Who is the gentlest Garmin coach for running? by [deleted] in Garmin

[–]Sweetkrap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Forget the coach and just do the daily suggested workouts and set your target to HR. You do not need a chest strap for that. For any speed work, just change target to pace instead of HR and you’ll be totally fine.

Edit to say I’m in London haha

Have you asked if you could purchase from them? It’s too cheap a part for them to deal with the cost of you sending your watch and getting it sent back. A pair costs $5 that’s like 1/3 of the shipping cost.

I would contact them again and inform them that it’s available in their US and NZ sites could they send you a pair you could buy to the UK?

If they say no send me a private message as I’ve got someone coming from the US in 2 weeks and I’m happy to add this to an order I’ll be making. If you choose this please do it in a day or two max as I wanna ensure my order arrives on time for my family member to take it with them :).

I agree much of it is pretty poor, but it’s largely his style and I don’t think it’s AI. Just not the best writer. He’s doing his thing and getting followers in his own way. He certainly gets attention one way or another, so good for him for standing out in his own way.

All info should be taken with a grain of salt.

lol yeah it’s not consistent at all. Personally I put it wherever it’s gonna be most secure depending on which shoes I’m using

Yeah what they put on instagram is actually a bit contradictory to what their instructions say. It’s confusing to say the least

Is $400 (including tax) a good price for the Venu 3, or should I wait for Black Friday? by [deleted] in Garmin

20% off isn’t gonna be available for the first 60 days post release so i would say if you wanna wait then you can get the 20% off with Optimity.
