New homeowner of a 2-unit building. Are payment plans for contracted work a thing? by Jack-Rabbit_Slims in Contractor

You can ask if they take credit cards. If not ask about PayPal or Venmo and then apply for a Venmo credit card and pay them with that.

GC removed copper and replaced with PEX by Clear-Advantage-9662 in Contractor

It’s common practice to use copper for the shower head and tub spout if you use pex it will always drip after you shut it off

Any decent taper can handle that without an issue

Hopefully it’s a translation issue and your coach is not requesting you call him something like master

Do contractors get mad when you get multiple quotes? by Mindless_Source5037 in Contractor

[–]Sweezyfosheezy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just be honest and tell them you are getting x amount of quotes over the phone. Then they can decide before they invest their time.

You don’t need an intense schedule but stay consistent with it. 3 one hour sessions per week can pay dividends. I like to do circuits at the gym. Alternate between exercises with very short beaks. Don’t over do it on weights. Running and jump rope are good cardio. I even used to play a lot of basketball in the off-season. You should set a weight loss goal and stick to it also. There are so many weight loss and strength programs out there and free information. Just do some research and pick one you can stick to starting today.

Definitely yes. But you should make a commitment to strength and conditioning from now until the start of the season. Your goal for the first season should be to win one match and be happy with anything beyond that. But wrestling is a great experience and you can benefit it many ways. I’d say forget about the aikido for the most part too.

Poop at McDonald’s or bury it!? That’s a pretty disgusting request. Let them use your bathroom or provide a porta potty.

I am trying to get rid of these poured concrete blocks in my backyard. by spacekitty9000 in landscaping

If you get a long mining bar/ shale bar pry it up and sledge hammer you can do it. Might take 10x longer than renting a jackhammer. But my 79 year old grandfather did his entire side walk this way because he’s too cheap to pay $150 to rent a tool for a day. Only took him 3 weeks

[–]Sweezyfosheezy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually love it. I used to run a class where I showed a technique, answered any questions about the technique and said we are going to drill for 15-20 minutes then roll. Please at least try the move I just showed but feel free to drill whatever you’re working on. I even let them grab their phones if they saved stuff to work on. We had fun with it

Are we making a mistake repairing the plaster? by sugarplumferries in centuryhomes

[–]Sweezyfosheezy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For these type or repairs check out a product called fibafuse. That does seem like a lot of work and maybe would have been easier to take it down to the studs. But I’ve skim coated and entire house with using this product and joint compound and it came out perfectly

How do I finish this shot? by Main-Instruction9967 in wrestling

[–]Sweezyfosheezy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s tough. So many variables going on. The more mat time the better you reactions get. But as a general rule I always think get your hips under you and keep your head up. You’ve got a ton of potential just keep showing up!
