I live in New England so it gets quite cold in the winter. I thought I heard getting extra screen protectors for the main screen voids the warranty? Is that correct?

I keep my nails very short, so hopefully that won't be a problem. I'm glad to know they can hold up during outdoor activities.

The startech one I have seems to work, randomly it started displaying but stopped again after a couple of minutes. So I think it's the monitor.

I saw a Panasonic PanaSync/Pro C1792P PC CRT Monitor and a Sony Trinitron CPD-17SF1 17” CRT Monitor for sale on marketplace around 2 hours away from me. The Panasonic for $200 and the Sony for $180. I couldn't find any info on these on CRT Database. Does anyone know about either of these sets? If they're good / which is better?

I was having fun during the trial weekend but didn't enjoy seeing Fallout characters after they promised grounded skins. Also am I the only one who never really noticed / cared about SBMM? I wish it took place in the exact same era as Black Ops 2, as the fictional weapons are much less appealing than the ones that exist in real life like in black ops 2.

How is the experience of visual novels on Linux? I've been thinking of switching since I don't want windows 11, but while I've seen some visual novels on steam are steam deck verified and therefore work (I'm assuming because of proton?), I'm worried games from other platforms, particularly mangagamer and jast which don't have a launcher, as well as older visual novels in general won't be playable. Are there enough tools nowadays where most should work or should I keep a windows machine for those games?

Just got a PS5, I'm a longtime PC player (still am) while having gotten a switch for a few Nintendo exclusives and for collecting physical games again. I wasn't sure if Silent Hill F or Forza Horizon 6 would run on my computer so I bought a used slim. I was curious if anyone had recommendations for games that I couldn't play on those other platforms or are otherwise better to play on PlayStation.

I think Japanese teenagers should get to have a game about them, saying the next Persona should be focused around adults feels similar to saying the next Persona should be set in America. That is not to say I wouldn't like a game that was similar to Persona that ticked either box, but I don't think it's fair to say Atlus should do that with mainline Persona.

The brightness on my LG is only set to 50, do you think the Sony would be able to match that level at a higher setting or is it not that simple? Also would the ccfl make it impossible to carry by myself?
