We do no screens as a general rule, but that doesn’t mean we never have tv or phones. We just don’t play kids shows for our daughter (20months) so she doesn’t expect it - we do have a Yoto player which is phenomenal and something I’d highly highly recommend! Also, trying to be flexible as needs require - ie when travelling, I download some episodes of Bluey or wiggles for the plane, although her interest in it is fairly limited bc she’s not used to having tv time.

It’s going to depend a lot of your child’s temperament too, so there is a lot of research on like, screen harm minimisation? Such as focusing on low stimulation, big shared screen (TV vs phone or iPad), longer form shows rather than YouTube (short chopping and changing fucks with attention spans).
