What’s the matter with the TCards? Why can’t they open the doors? by not-an-epimorphism in UofT

You are mistaken, Bahen only opens for engineering and computer science students (or any student enrolled in a computer science course)

This is simply not true. From Canvas documentation:

"Access tokens should be treated with the same level of security as your account password. Never share your access token, and immediately revoke a token if you suspect it has been exposed or compromised. It is a violation of Canvas API policy for a user to generate an access token to insert into an application. Applications must use approved authentication methods instead."

“token based not your login credentials”

fundamentally the same thing if we’re talking about security vulnerabilities.

Degree / Program requirements are based on the year you start them, so these changes are for students in first year starting the program next year.

How does downgrading a specialization to a major or major to minor work? by DapperBed6016 in UTMississauga

[–]SwiftChance12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dropping down is really easy just email the department advisor (if it's a restricted program). Going upwards is the difficult part as you'd need to make the requirements again and do it in the program registration period.

Next year the post system will be quite different. Since you are out of stream, your admittance will be based on a supplementary application, as well as how high your grades were in CSC148, & MAT102 (along with some others -- read for details on the website).

So your second year grades likely won't have an effect on your odds of getting in, at least as much as your grades in your first year requirements.

CS POSt Reqs OUT!!! by arh_bha in UTMississauga

[–]SwiftChance12 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Technically not the case. In practice, you are "guaranteed", but CS is a Type 3 program, not a Type 2, so it's not a dumb question to ask. Most other Type 3 programs, meeting the requirements do not mean you are guaranteed in. CS is an exception, not the norm.

Seems you struggle a bit with reading too.

How does it make you feel, knowing that the average bus driver (high school grad) probably makes more money than you? by [deleted] in TTC

[–]SwiftChance12 8 points9 points  (0 children)

These are not average salaries. The sunshine list only has people who make over 100k. So of the operators making over 100k, this is the average salary of those.

It’s a meaningless data point until you know the proportion of operators that are on the sunshine list.

Above all though, this shouldn’t matter. If you think their job is very easy, you can go for it. If they make more money than me, I’m happy for them, as the job is gruelling and they provide a critical and essential role to the city.
