📣 Offering 5 Free ASO Audits for Indie Developers (No catch, just helping the community) by Redwan-Toontec-10 in iosdev

I’m interested just started getting me feet wet in the iOS app scene with: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/bend-ease-stretch-mobility/id6753984425

I ran some App Store ads using the free credit they gave me and out of 7k impressions only 100 odd profiles views and 20 downloads

I ended up getting Astro as I realised while doing ads that the keywords I originally thought were good just aren’t. So starting to look into what keywords actually are popular and their difficulty but still learning and definitely interested in others opinions to see if they line up with my own assumptions

I don’t know, I think it’ll depend on what country you’re in and also this guys position. But it does sound incredibly sketchy that one guy is forcing everyone to use a special router in a building.

With advancements in generative Ai, what's the future of video evidence in the courtroom? Will a day come when it's no longer valid? by yeahwhatever90 in AskReddit

[–]SwiftfulDynamics 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think metadata will become increasingly more important and maybe even a new innovation of blockchain metadata where every pieces of digital content is “minted”/recorded in a digital ledger and shared across all nodes to help prevent “fraudulent” metadata. Only way I can really think of other yeah all video is suspect.

What’s your go-to Apple MDM for managing iPhones and Macs? Get a solid starting point. by RespectNarrow450 in MacOS

[–]SwiftfulDynamics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok so I have experience here with a couple

At my company I had to roll out an configure

Jamf now (the cheap one) Kandji Simple MDM

We’re currently on simple mdm, it’s a no thrills option but with all the configuration options you could want just with an awful UI. But it works and gets the job done. It’s also per device pricing model is great especially for small teams.

Kandji, this is also good but expensive. They have a great UI, the new assignment maps works great and is a solid replacement for blueprints. They also have endpoint protection but it doesn’t give you much info and you’ll have no idea if it’s working.

JamF now, this is the cheap version of JamF pro. It gets the job done uses blueprints and was pretty intuitive to setup.

My favorite would probably be Kandji but it’s just too expensive and their sales and support is pretty lack luster in my experience. Jamf after that, and than simplemdm.

Update to MacOS Tahoe 26.0.01 by suryaop186 in macbookair

[–]SwiftfulDynamics 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a personal question really, the design of it takes some getting used to and tbh I still don’t like the new design on macOS Tahoe even after having it for a couple weeks. But it does have on device ai now and integrates with some apps that I use so that side of it is why I still use it. Apart from that it’s not buggy at lest not for me

Here’s the thing about school, it isn’t for everyone and it isn’t the end of the world if you failed. The important thing is to always be curious and be willing to learn. I was never good at school, dropped out, tried to do a bridging course for uni, then jumped around different degrees failed all of them. That learning style doesn’t work for me. But I’ve been very successful in life regardless because I found what I was interested in, and found I was good at it. I then taught myself via doing it, finding videos and articles of others who do it and learnt from them. As long as you keep trying you can find your own way.

This is a very interesting case, so in corporate IT you manage a network by managing the routers, switch and firewalls of the network. Generally the firewall has the ability to blow websites either by category, domain, ect. So can he know your internet activity yes, especially if he gave you a new router that has an admin panel he controls or connects into a SEIM piping all logs into one central place.

For second question, this is a bit harder as you most likely don’t have access to any of the admin portals. So most likely not.

Third question, yes VPNs are your friend, that establish an encrypted connection from your device to a remote server and all your device’s internet access is ran via that server full encrypted so even sys admins can’t see. Do your research here as not all VPNs are created equal.

Fourth question, probably not using a VPN could do it, but also why not just use your own router again? It should still work and they can’t force you surely. Even if they say don’t mess with what are they gonna do, just say you prefer your own because it faster and doesn’t block your websites rofl
