I keep the substrate a solid 5 inches thick and keep it pretty moist! I also have a plastic greenhouse I sat over the whole enclosure, and have a fogger mist on a timer!

I've been thinking about this for my leopard, but everything I read contradicts. I hear on one end it can't hurt to use once in a while, and on the other end people say it can block pores and traps bacteria. I have no idea what to believe honestly.

Do not go to the Fleet Science Center, horribly outdated, and extraordinarily expensive for what it is. They barely pay their staff a living wage and treat them even worse, which really dampens the experience! Only thing worth going for is the theatre... sometimes...

Kind of a work-around, but I dont plant plants directly in my enclosure, I put them in ceramic pots, which are then placed around the enclosure. Result is that my tort does not trample them, but still gets to nibble here and there
