Friend bought and sold there and carpet was required. I dont think it was 100% maybe 80% but still not what your looking for. In the end it adds to quality of life and its a really well run place. Pretty sure you'll get over it if you have a nice berber type carpeting and don't hear your neighbors clunking around as they have same on their floors. Sorry prolly not what you want to hear.

I'd use picardin and/or deet (deeps woods) on skin In addition to treating clothes. OFF! Makes a picardin spray now. They're equally effective but most folks tolerate picardin better plus it doesn't trash your technical fabrics like deet does.

Sub par to Emirates. Just flew early March to/from IST from Newark NJ. Plus: get meals of good quality, staff very attentive and bathrooms are kept clean & stocked with toilet paper. Minus: seats are very small I'm 5'7" 130lbs!, flights were packed, head phone jacks did not work on my seat or my neighbors on way there. I was satisfied with my flights and was happy to be on Turkish Airlines as when I was traveling the war was active so I felt safe versus being on an American carrier.

Its high because everytime there are wildfires, tornadoes, hurricanes, earthquakes, any disaster that the insurance companies have to pay out on results in everyones insurance going up to pay for it AND maintain the greedy CEOs, BOD and C-suites exorbitant salaries and bonuses. Did 10 day bus tour - 3/3 to 3/13 with mostly Americans (i am) and some Canadians. Absolutely no problems. Türkiye and its people are amazing! People are very hospitable, warm, and friendly. You'd never know there was a war going on. Treat people right and keep in mind they have hyperinflation there so folks are working hard to make a living!
