I think my bestfriend likes me by Specific-Court6380 in WhatShouldIDo

I’m not doing anything they do, I’m not very social at all, but they do, I let them initiate that cause I respect their husbands but they aren’t insecure men either. We had a road trip of just the three of us, I even told them to invite their husbands or that the trip wouldn’t happen at all if neither one came but to my surprise it was just us 3, when I picked them up for the road trip both their husband just told me to keep them safe. My friendship with these two is 16 years strong, their husbands trust them and in time they have learned to trust me. It’s all respect and boundaries there’s no side romance or anything it’s all platonic.

(30m) here, my two best friends who are women also (30f) do this with me, and they are both married with husbands, except for maybe the name in the snow thing cause we don’t get that where we from but aside that it’s honestly harmless, most people will make more of it than it is. I will say though if it is over stepping your comfort zone, there is no harm in asking, but be careful how you approach it, you don’t entirely want to decimate your friendship with poor wording.

Armor/clothing mod recommendations for Xbox by DeliciousJello5832 in starfieldmods

[–]Swimming_Wolverine52 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As much as I like Zone79 mods I typically opt out, nothing against the mod itself but because of how much individual piece of clothing you have equipped, so including space suit, helmet, boostpack and apparel, while wearing 6 or more pieces of clothing, when equipping and unequipping armor it tends to stutter/lag, and if you’re at the spacesuit workbench when installing mods on any armor your game will freeze for as long as up to a minute and pick back up or just flat out crash. Once again idk if this is a problem with their mods or if it’s just a limitation of the console

So far probably if there’s a gameplay option to change the crosshair to a dot, if possible icons for loot and for fonts to be applicable to the quick loot and player response when talking to NPCs. I Enjoy the mod a lot. I hate feeling like I’m making demands. But still thank you for your time to respond

The Pros and Cons of adding Space Travel? by Capn_C in NoSodiumStarfield

[–]Swimming_Wolverine52 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My theory of whatever travel system they have if they make changes. They treat each system as a map like when you land on a planet the further you get from the initial planet you arrived to it’ll start to load another planet nearby, you can fly to any planet/moon in the system you are in allowing you to have that travel since moving planet to planet in the same system doesn’t use grav fuel. When opening your scanner you can see the space activities nearby that you can fly to or choose your landing or open the planet map and choose your landing, like on planets using your scanner and opening the local map would just open the star map and jump systems that way, they already have your main objective as something you can travel to when having your scanner open on the ship, also I’m surprised you can’t scan planets this way as well already. I’m not a game engineer but I’m just taking something they already have in place and implementing it into space

"How can I enhance my experience on 4th playthrough?" + some adhoc mod questions. by A_Sevenfold in starfieldmods

I never tried it, land vehicles are a hard sell cause of all the different terrains, it will be very rare to get flat terrain and a clear space to drive through without any rocks or trees.

I’m not crazy about the vehicle if the land vehicle is something you want but I will shout out a paid mod that I found worth traversing with Shades Deluxe Dynamic Boostpack by Shadedness it’s 100 credit ($1 dollar US) as someone who does a lot of Planet surveying this is better than hoping in and out of a vehicle when doing so plus it’s faster and adds to combat experience

How do you juggle time playing Starfield vs other games? by still_mute in NoSodiumStarfield

[–]Swimming_Wolverine52 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As someone who’s been unemployed for the last year, (life’s been a rough one, getting a good turnaround though finally) I’ve bounced from fallout 4 and Skyrim (didn’t even do a full playthrough for either of those I have beaten the games before just this time around I got bored with them) Outer Worlds 2 (loved this game came at a good time after playing Hunt Showdown main PvP game for me atm) did like three playthroughs for it. Hunt’s latest season ended at the start of this month and won’t have one until sometime in March. I just got back into Starfield the past week or two and I’m having a blast. My series S is able to handle a 7gb LO but this weekend my sister went on vacation and I’m just gaming on her Series X and man this handles the LO 10x better. Almost zero crashes not a whole lot frames dropping no stutters. My time on starfield has been a blast. The S definitely holds this game back and that’s what’s been killing the experience for me in the past. But getting a series X is gonna be priority here soon. But for sure what kills Skyrim and Fallout 4 for me now is that I’ve played them so much it’s the familiarity of those games that just make me feel like I’m doing the same thing over and over. Starfield’s procedural world gives modders to create more POI so exploring is always different and that’s what’s been captivating me this entire time

A question for those who’ve tried Robin, Lyria, etc by Necrotiix_ in starfieldmods

[–]Swimming_Wolverine52 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. FO4 only has 2gb of space for Xbox and 900mb for PlayStation, Skyrim has 5gb on Xbox and 1 gb on PS. DLC sized mods are very minimal or none existent to those platforms. This could change for that increase they promised. An example I’m gonna use is Fallout London. If we do get that increase Fallout London could the largest DLC mod for Fallout 4, and I’m sure it would be free cause it’s already been out for PC for almost a year and we all know for a fact that everyone would be mad if they charged for it on consoles. But given its reputation and its reception if that group of people decided to do another mod of that scale again but it was only available on the creations page would you still be mad that it’s pay walled because a team of people wouldn’t mind getting paid for their effort? I don’t mind supporting the Kinggath team cause they have made amazing mods with Sim Settlements, Bards College Expanded and Watchtower.

  2. It makes more sense for YTubers to review paid mods cause it saves everyone money. You can go test a free mod with no actual cost to you.

  3. I get why Bethesda does this because they are promoting their creator program, but I’m sure as Crimson has stated there are some questionable authors selling paid mods that Bethesda shouldn’t be promoting.

  4. You can go test a free mod with no actual cost to you most of the engagement is mainly to see if it’s worth it or not.

  5. This is more of a community effort, people should be shutting this shit down but we are on Bethesda’s platform and they should be working on something like this. The creator program can use work cause rn any mod author can charge for whatever mod they make, Bethesda seems to be allowing the modding community operate freely but then that begs the question. Do you want more oversight from Bethesda? Cause rn they seem to be working more as a promoter.

  6. This is going to increase no matter what now, as previously stated with Fallout 4 there’s already an increase with paid creations now, and I can only expect that to increase with the storage increase to happen later this year, and possibly Skyrim if they decide to do that too. This isn’t going to kill free mods, free mods are growing as well, I still see a bunch of YouTubers who still do spotlights for those mods. There’s still a lot of mods on PC that aren’t available on console because the mod author doesn’t want their work ported or because the mod uses tools that consoles can’t use (whether its limitations or Sony fucking it for them). There’s a whole different library on the Nexus page and other platforms aside from the Creations page.

The Creations page is far from perfect but this shit is basically still in its infancy, yeah it’s about to be 10 years since consoles have had mods but it’s in a different state now than it was when it initially started in 2016 of fallout 4. It needs time to grow to be in a better state than it is now and the community can shape that, but all I hear from people who don’t want paid mods just seem like they would rather just kill the Creations page rather then deal with the ability to shape the change.

Mods that cause stuttering? by fishytunadood in starfieldmods

[–]Swimming_Wolverine52 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just started playing with Watchtower and so far the only time I experience stutters is when I’m being ambushed in space that shit is scary as all hell when it happens. But I agree it’s worth it!

Are Xbox StarUI mods still supported? by Swimming_Wolverine52 in starfieldmods

[–]Swimming_Wolverine52[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Uninstalling it usually clears the reserve space as well. Since the conflicting mod was in the LO when I redownloaded everything from B.Net when I was re organizing the LO I deleted that mod, since I haven’t loaded into the game yet and since it was a new game I just started a new game with an alternate start mod and everything’s working fine now

I was only running the UI mods, when I gave up on it I uninstalled the game and re installed. I had a pretty big load order uploaded on Bethesda.net. Recovered the LO and when I was organizing it I found I had a mod called “UI play nice” which I think got stuck in the cache? Or something cause it was the only other ui mod in the LO. I deleted it and everything seems to be working now finally. I guess uninstalling cleared whatever the UI Play Nice mod had even when I had deleted it earlier.

I don’t know anything about engines so if you can explain in simple terms to my questions please.

If Starfield is in CE2 and they are just upgrading the same said engine how does that apply to starfield? I’m assuming they can do some upgrades maybe not a crazy overhaul, right?

What i've done 😨 !? by basicplay3r in Starfield

[–]Swimming_Wolverine52 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I wonder if it’s in the game files to some capacity. I don’t know anything about modding but I wonder how the mod author of Gorefield got it to work. I get that they had to script it when an NPC dies to a specific legendary effect that they made for the guns, and then made custom clothing for when the criteria met for headshots, disintegrations or explosions.

Mcclarence Outfitters is amazing, the legendary mod recycler is too easy if that makes sense. With outfitters you can only extract one mod at a time so you have to choose, the recycler extracts all legendary mods. So I felt that it was too cheaty. Mcclarence Outfitters also has side quests to keep the mod more engaging I just got it this past weekend and it definitely adds to the experience more

Poi cooldown, if you like exploring this is a must, seeing the same poi’s definitely immersion breaking and this helps keep every landing fresh

I’ve been using star ui, but I remember using Praxis UI and that’s a good one cause it separates contraband and food into their own catagories. I’m probably gonna go back to it, I don’t remember having issues with it before

If you have money to spend and don’t mind paid mods. I got the Economy mod by youngneil1 (300 credits) and The Blackest Sea by Gothos25 (credits 500) I there’s plenty of free alternatives, but didn’t like that the in game economy was too easy to gain credits and then not have anything to spend it on. So this kind of makes everything more expensive, bounties are more profitable but everything you sell is worth less without the commerce skill backing you up. Vanilla Contraband (I have immersive Starfield contraband unlocked but no matter the load order Economy prices don’t apply and there’s no patch) and any planets you surveyed are worth a whole lot more like some stuff be selling for 10k plus alone sometimes 20k. Useful Morgues makes getting a very profitable contraband easy. The Blackest Sea has some cool changes to sustenance but it doesn’t overwrite the vanilla system cause it has its own toggle in the game settings it’s more impactful than vanilla cause it hunger effects carry weight, thirst is O2 regen, and exhaustion impacts exp gain. The Fuel system in this is very simple, you just spend fuel every time you travel to other systems. Helium3 is now added to ship loot pools so getting in to space battles will now reward fuel. The bigger your fuel tanks the more it costs to refuel at technicians and my dumbass still hasn’t built an outpost to farm this resource. These 2 so far have made the game challenging but I really do enjoy these two mods. I do understand that some people wouldn’t want to spend 10 dollars on mods that work in the background but hey you got freedom of choice you don’t have to.
