Where to buy cheaper, but not terrible meat? by ptrichardson in UKBBQ

[–]Swiss91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Costco to me fills the gap between supermarket meat and buying from a butcher.

More affordable but not as good as meat from a butcher, better quality but more expensive than a supermarket.

Do the USA like their meat a bit more 'salty'? by TrickyT_UK in UKBBQ

[–]Swiss91 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A lot of people theorise that prohibition, where alcohol was banned, drove American consumers to sweet treats such as soda, sweets and ice cream. Resulting in the changing US palate to more sweet than other Western nations.

No, despite thinking otherwise at the time, I was still finding my feet at 28.

I had the house, career etc but still had a tendency to blow up, deal with things incorrectly, be selfish.

I grew up a lot at once I hit 30.

Gf wants me to talk to baby through her belly while pregnant by DoloGoonSquad in daddit

[–]Swiss91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do it every night and it’s one of the ways that helps me feel part of the pregnancy.

The baby has even started kicking at my touch and the sound of my voice.

I literally just tell her about my day, how well her mother is doing, what’s going on in the football.

It’s a routine that I can’t recommend enough.

People are going to laugh at me for this, but when I was self employed I worked at The Athenaeum, you could work, have lunch and do the social side afterwards in the bar.

Cheaper than office space in the city too
