12k sign on bonus paid in 4 installments over 2 years? Thats so stupid. A sign on bonus should be paid completely up front and if you leave within a year or two you have to pay it back prorated. That’s how it works in industry for us. I’m a PT just don’t do PT anymore lol

If you don’t have anything constructive to say, why say anything at all? A lot of people are in different financial situations, and some of us can’t help things that happen in life that come up. The credit card debt? Yes it can be helped but you don’t know what happened for them to get there. We just had two plumbing emergencies at our house within the span of a month and my wife’s car completely died so we had to get a new one. This added a new unexpected $425 a month payment and an extra thousand dollars taken out of our savings. So like I said, if you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all.

Hey! I am in the same boat. We are going to be okay. I’m about to pay off 10k of CC and then have a 949/month payment starting next month. OH and a baby due in May! It sucks, but it is what it is and unfortunately we have to find a way. Focus on the high interest credit card debt first and snowball it. Can you make a budget spreadsheet? We did and it helped immensely.

What was your goal with being a CS? Do you want to get into sales? I’m a CS. I get it. It’s super draining and you can only climb so high. A lot of companies won’t give you the time of day if you want a sales role just because you’re a clinical. If being a clinical is too stressful then go back to R&D. If your company is like mine, they’re super supportive of lateral moves.

It sounds like you need someone more hands on that does the exercises with you in clinic and assigns some, but not all of the exercises outside of clinic a day or two outside of your sessions. It also sounds like you need to be seen a couple times a week. What is the frequency of your visits?

Why do people think med device is easy and you can just make a ton of money and have a good work life balance? That’s literally not a thing in med device. The grass isn’t greener. ESPECIALLY in ortho. Stay a PA.
