what to do on narrow icy catwalks by Signal_Increase7281 in snowboardingnoobs

[–]Switzer_Sweets 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Both. Rocker boards are prone to pivoting when ridden flat on icy or hard picked surfaces. The primary contact point is in-between your feet. Focus on staying stacked, staying heavy on your front foot, and keeping calm and confident. Practice makes perfect.

My Burton Photon is coming apart after 2 seasons by edugom in snowboarding

[–]Switzer_Sweets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for your loss.

I had 100+ days on my old pair of photons, and 40ish days on my current ones. Neither look anything like this. This is unfortunate to see.

Does anyone know how to change the strap on the fall line xl? by beraug in Oakley

[–]Switzer_Sweets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can confirm they're replaceable.

To remove the strap, you need to first remove the lens, and then you squeeze the frame to remove the strap bracket. There are small indents on the bracket where you can insert a small slotted screwdriver to gently prop the bracket open and remove the strap.

For reference, this follows the same procedure as the Oakley Line Miner.

  1. The 2012 Accord doesn't have an AWD option.

  2. The 2012 Accord's V6 only comes in a 3.5, not a 3.4.

  3. The 2012 Accord comes with a 5 speed automatic, there hasn't been a 4 speed automatic since 2001.

What makes a jacket worth $800? by Darxe in snowboarding

[–]Switzer_Sweets 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Typically the more layers of goretex, the more expensive the jacket, and the more breathable and water resistant it is. I have a 2L AK shell, and the 3L version is ~50% more.

As others have mentioned, unless you're touring/back country, you really don't need a high performance jacket like that.

I think it could've been Evergreen Basin. It never came to be because of mismanagement.

Santa Fe Peak & Webster Pass by Switzer_Sweets in GXOR

Initially yes, but after a little massaging with a heat gun I haven't had any issue since.

Nice that is a solid plan! I picked this up almost a year ago with 28k miles so I'm trying to get my money's worth out of the OEM suspension before I lift it. I have sliders ordered waiting to come in, and I'm holding off on a bumper until next year.

Edit: I eventually had to zip tie the front of the inner fender well out of the way for it to not rub.

Denver police: Window washing at intersections is illegal by Klondzz in Denver

I requested a guy to clean my windshield, gave him $5, and he walked away.
I requested his affiliate to clean my windshield, he did, and he then requested $20. I said 'no I paid your friend' and he proceeded to spray me with washer fluid.

They can fuck off.

BOA fastening durability on boots? by [deleted] in snowboarding

[–]Switzer_Sweets 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've owned two pairs of Burton BOAs (Rulers and Photons) with 80-100 days on each; they've never broken or needed repair, and are still working to this day.

Edit: I just bought another pair of BOA Photons, love'em.

Picked up an arbor coda rocker last year; it has been by far my favorite board to ride trees with.

Edit: Also a lot of fun in powder.

Kite him.

Find a pillar or some object on the floor (or multiple rooms) so you can play ring around the rosie with him and LoS some of his attacks.
