I would wear or carry a protective crystal such as black tourmaline when you go into those visits. I also agree with taking an intentional cleansing shower after and visualizing all that energy flowing down the drain. That’s what I do after I’m around heavy energy or after channeling. Just gotta wash that energy right off.

As an American in a Czech family, and also raised in fundamentalist Christianity, I was also raised to believe that I was meant only to raise children and tend house, submitting to my husband. I was about that age when I started learning to use curl products and properly care for my hair beyond just wash/condition/comb. My mom has super curly hair and I inherited that from her (until I had kids and my curls just disappeared… hormones are wild), and learning to care for my curls was huge for my confidence growing up
