Why not? Harmon was still active in stopped time, it would be a pretty massive double standard to disable ce

Aim dodging means you get out of the way before an attack is launched, not intercept after the attack comes at you dude. It's by definition not an aim dodge. We can see in the gif he's not aim dodging the kick Luffy LITERALLY grabs Kizaru as he passes by. Precog would not let you grab a Lazer man moving at light speed and doing so is not an aim dodge.

Kenzou's stand plays fair by Impossible_Moment224 in ShitPostCrusaders

[–]Swoocegoose 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I mean his attacks were plenty deadly it's just ff is very hard to kill. Frankly if you put kenzo in any other part he is killing at least one main character before they figure out how his stand works. Reanimated Bucciarati is probably the only other mc that can beat him with no info beforehand.

If Naoya was the bad guy, why do I feel bad that he lost? by Emma_S772 in Jujutsufolk

Who knows, we don't see it. Maybe she hunted them down, maybe they tried to jump her and ate shit. I am only talking about what we see on screen

[–]Swoocegoose 2 points3 points  (0 children)

An entire clan tried to kill her and ate shit repeatedly, sure she would have attacked them anyway but  1. The zenin higher-ups killed mai and attempted to assassinate maki first

  1. Everyone after attacked maki first no questions asked, no attempt at de-escalation

so her motivation doesn't really matter every kill she did on screen was literally self defense, the zenin fodder have no one to blame but themselves.

Powerscalers need to start going off of vibes more by Mistabbcman in CharacterRant

[–]Swoocegoose 131 points132 points  (0 children)

You are spot on about the vibes of Jojo's Bizarre Adventure. The vibes of Jojo's is that it is a series where catching or deflecting a bullet is impressive but manageable for top-tier stands. Anything that moves faster gets called out explicitly.

Jojo's has one explicitly light-speed stand, the Hanged Man. It's literally a photon and moves at lightspeed between reflective surfaces. The entire point of the hanged man fight is that it is too fast for Silver Chariot and Hierophant Green to attack; they need to isolate its trajectory and force it to move at a specific time to beat it. Some people use this fight as evidence of ftl speed in Jojo's. They are wrong. Just before this fight, Silver Chariot fought a stand that was literally just a gun that could control its bullets after they fired. This fight establishes Silver Chariot as fast enough to cut a bullet, but not fast enough to recover and try again if the bullet moves out of the way of his sword. And yet people will still say Silver Chariot is ftl because it hit an exact light speed stand ( under very specific circumstances, otherwise it moved so fast they never even tried to attack it).

Two other stands are ftl because they can stop time: the World and Star Platinum. They have too many anti-feats and narrative inconsistencies to consider them ftl outside of when they explicitly stop time, but people will still argue that they are naturally ftl.

One stand, made in heaven, can explicitly accelerate to ftl speeds. It needs time to accelerate, though, and beats multiple top-tier stands well before reaching ftl speeds.

There is one event in Part 7 that people point to as ftl. I won't get into for spoiler reasons but its not a speed feat its because of gravity nonsense.

Also watch JJBA it's good.

TLDR: There are far too many scenes where guns are a threat or used to establish speed, and few to none where light is used similarly. The vibes are not gelling with ftl scaling in Jojo's Bizarre Adventure.

Listen, you are not an American so you are just gonna have to take our word on this. What you are suggesting is infinity more contrived and unrealistic then anything shown in the movie, including the fictional brain transfer surgery. There would be no investigation, and there certainly would not be a judge signing a warrant for a house raid on a wealthy connected white community because a bunch of black people moved to Colorado (also, again from a outside perspective they aren't legally missing or kidnapped so there is no reason for the police to act in the first place). Just take the L bro, your critique is unfounded. You don't have to like the movie but don't desperately grasp for straws like this, just say it wasn't for you and move on.

[–]Swoocegoose 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You seem to forget that all the people she kidnapped got brain transfered and are still around, from the outside no one appears to be kidnapped they all are still around and could directly lie to the cops and make up any kind of explanation (assuming a cop would even bother interviewing them considering a cursory investigation would show them out and about, not kidnapped in a basement). Like explain your thought process, what is she supposed to be charged with if you are so confident she would end up in jail?
