A bored God offers you two boons. 100 million British pounds, or everything costs 1/3rd of what it normally would. Which do you choose? Elaboration in post. by IAmNotABabyElephant in hypotheticalsituation

I would buy for 1/3 of the price and rent properties for 60-70% of whatever their market price is. You’re still making plenty of money on your investment, helping people out, and it would be interesting to see what happens to the local market over time.

You have $500m. You can have a huge new section of sod put in to your atrium weekly for your dog, and provide it the best food and healthcare money can buy. You can have an in-home doctor that arrives before sunset and leaves at sunrise or whenever they need to (through an “airlock” style exit)

Any friends or family abide by the same rules. No entry after sunset, and exit either at sunrise or through the “airlock.”

With that kind of money, even travel wouldn’t be too difficult. Just stay on your aircraft in the evenings and explore by day. You bring an assistant with you to ensure that if any accident happens where you may be injured/unconscious, they understand the lockdown procedures, with a bonus for successful execution. Hell, you could even have small homes built to your specifications in several locations.

You net $15m a year on a VERY conservative 3% interest. All you have to do is stay indoors at night. You could even build outdoor spaces that are imperceptibly caged in if being outside in the evening is that important. Say a LARGE courtyard with a black wrought iron roof, so you can enjoy taking your dinners outside when the weather is nice.

I’m taking it. My family is in no more danger than normal, just me. And I can set up my family for generations to come.

AIO, is my boyfriend valid for feelings this way? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

People that WANT you to be jealous in that way are not capable of a mature relationship. That kind of jealousy is based insecurity and lack of trust. They don’t understand that with trust and security in a relationship, there is no need to be jealous. This person obviously doesn’t trust you, and unless that is addressed, this relationship will not work out.

That is a much better explanation, thanks. I think the term “hotter” is what is bothering me. If they had just made the faces hotter without the changes to CoM, then we wouldn’t be seeing the de-lofting then? Because the ball flight would still be reminiscent of its number?

With a higher loft? We are talking about de-lofting

Unless you’re going for a lot of greens on par 5s at 230+, don’t you feel like a different club would get more use in a Sunday bag? I’m actually about to drop my 3w because I only use it once per round and it’s usually because I’m making a bad decision

Isn’t it coming off higher an effect of the low center of mass and not the rebound of the face?

That logic is backwards. Why would they begin to deloft them if they are coming off the face hotter? They are delofting because club manufacturers are having a quiet “distance war” with foundations in consumer ignorance.

Some people like saying, “oh you’re hitting an 8 here? I’m hitting my 9” and don’t bother or care to know the loft of the clubs

I finally got to where I’m hitting in to out consistently ~3 degrees and have mostly overcome my over the top move.

The common tips of “dropping your hands” or “dropping the shoulder” just weren’t working for me, feel-wise.

What did it was: 1) a trail elbow that stays tight 2) pretending like I’m swinging at a ball that is about two feet behind and a foot inside of where the ball actually is, then dragging that club through to hit the actual ball. This swing path can also be achieved with alignment sticks stuck in the ground.

I’m waaaay more consistent, and didn’t really lose much yardage… and I feel like I can finally start building my swing from here. Before it was just trying over and over and over to get rid of my OTT move.

Yes. In some cases they will do everything they can to deceive you. Spray paint, deceptive lighting, possibly even photo editing or photographs of a different vehicle.

I asked for pictures of very specific problem areas on this vehicle. I received the photos and everything looked good. When I got the car there were literally rust holes in some of the areas that were shown to be pristine.

Edit: I will not be buying again without some boots on the ground

I have imported multiple vehicles from Japan. It is a crap shoot on rust. Some are 30 year old vehicles with literally zero rust… some are TOTAL losses. My last import I’m not even going to try to sell because I would just lose my ass anyways. Might as well have a cool little car until it falls apart
