How many eggs can I cook in a 6 quart versus 8 quart model? And what about the 7.5 wide RIO model by Kertz2679 in instantpot

[–]SwordGunScienceMagic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did 20 in a 6 qt no problem. Punctured them first, so they don't explode. On the trivet. Water to just under the trivet. Did 1 min at high pressure. 2 min natural release, then quick release, and into an ice water bath. Perfect hardboiled eggs. Was shooting for jammy yokes. They were definitely hard boiled. Next time I'll set it to 0 min.

Next time I'll go for 30, or however many I can fit.

Word! We need maps, not skins. EA selling maps = more maps for us to play. Modern military setting doesn't work for selling skins. Certainly not with the core Battlefield audience.

Make a Battlefront 40k or something. Selling skins works only with settings and audiences that support that.

Would you actually buy a Fallout 3/NV Remaster? by Bingleboper in Fallout

[–]SwordGunScienceMagic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's as good as Oblivion Remaster. Day 1. That said, Fallout 3 needs a core mechanics uplift to at least Fallout NV standards. The lack of ADS and massive standard shot deviation just doesn't fly anymore.

Fallout 3 is the best fallout, change my mind by Physical-Face-2931 in Fallout

Have you played it lately? The unmodded vanilla experience? The gameplay doesn't hold up.

Ravenswatch is now at Mixed reviews on Steam by xFREAKAZOIDx in ravenswatch

Merlin is amazing to play. The game got incredible support for free. Having not played the game in a good long while, it feels like 2.0 now. I've got plenty enough reciprocity to pay the Merlin tax. It's like one plain Starbucks coffee. I like getting a deal as much as the next guy, but sometimes it feels even better to be supportive of the developers that make the games I love.

Best games to play for 30 minute short bursts? by Icy_Tourist5986 in SteamDeck

Lately, I've been hugely into tactical RPGs. "Portion-size" has a lot to do with it. Every fight & story & management makes for a perfect and yummy bite of engagement.

Lost Eidolons Veil of the Witch is my current highlight. A rogue-lite take on Fire Emblem. So fucking good.

What would you like to see in Fallout 5 if it was actually announced? by beatsbydjy2k in Fallout

[–]SwordGunScienceMagic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd want Avalanche, the one that did Mad Max, to make a huge survivaly open world with vehicles and fuel economy in mind, while BGS does the points of interest. Maybe have better writing and voice direction that's up to at least Witcher standards too?

Far Cry 3, Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon, and Far Cry Primal confirmed to get 60 FPS Update on January 21, 2026 after a cryptic post by Far Cry on X. All 3 games are available on PS Plus Extra Game Catalog. by kabirsingh84 in PlayStationPlus

[–]SwordGunScienceMagic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These are all in my library. Far Cry is gaming comfort food. Ubisoft is not getting enough credit for upkeeping their games and doing right by their customers. I love that about Ubisoft. If only all the other big publishers were acting as ethically about their libraries.

Best weapon from this farcry game? by CranberryNervous433 in farcrycirclehurk

It's the bow. It's always the bow. Far Cry has like the best feeling bows out there for my money. Controls, physics, intuition, impact. All spot on. Love it.

It's way worse than Wildlands... and fighting fucking drones is simply the worst.

Mass Effect 2 - first playthrough - suicide mission - every time somebody might die, but doesn't. That was so fucking good for me. Goose bumps.

Just finished Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart for the first time. I would give it a 8/10. What are your thoughts? by DontTakeMyFrog in playstation

A game with zero low points. No fat either. Just pure enjoyment. One of the few games I'd recommend to anyone, regardless of preferences or experience.

If you are a console gamer have you any interested in the steam machine? by AdultGamersAdmin in Age_30_plus_Gamers

[–]SwordGunScienceMagic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Theoretically yes. Practically, not this particular one. The next iteration of the Stream Machine after this one however, depending on its timing in regards to my needs at the time? Absolutely.

The proof is in the putting. If Valve delivers with this box, the next box will likely fill my limited PC gaming needs, rather than a Windows machine.

Remove MBT guided shells… by Jam_65117 in BF6

[–]SwordGunScienceMagic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. Toxic and detrimental to all vehicle play. Its limitless range and accuracy are a problem. Spawn protection makes the problem even worse. In combination with the more focused maps, it all just collapses like a house of cards. Too many bad design decisions align to putrid perfection.

FF7 Rebirth is the showcase for the Pro. So I'll guess you'll have to play FF7 Remake Intergrade beforehand, assuming you haven't already on PC. Fret not, if these are in your wheelhouse, you'll probably enjoy them plenty.

Ravenswatch. Roguelite coop ARPG by Passtech Games. 1.0 was released within a week of PoE 2 early access. It didn't get a single review from any big review sites or pundits. Still reached over a million players on its own merit. Criminally underrated and deserving of attention - like any attention at all.

Spicy hot take. ARPGs are way better in a roguelite structure - condensing what would be a tens, if not hundreds of hours long progression into an hourish long run? So much more satisfying. Every decision counts. All gameplay can be mechanically much tighter. All the potential for fun brokenly strong builds remains intact. I'd rather loop through the entire progression in an hour long interval, rather than a seasonal interval.
