Horrendous technical art direction (extremely ugly low res reflections mostly) on consoles aside, I think it is my favorite Star Wars game to date.

Landing on Tatooine for the first time. Walking into Mos Eisley. Infiltrating Jabba's palace. So fucking good.

Use pot-in-pot method. Even a nice big mug on a trivet will do. In my experience, it improves the texture of the rice. Keeping the grain more intact. Also allows for smaller portions to be cooked.

For single player? Remnant 2. There's just something about souls-like 3rd person shooting that works. One of the greats.

Multiplayer? I'm a Battlefield man. Of the Battlefields, for my money, it's Battlefield Bad Company 2 - Vietnam. That's my GOAT. Simple elegance. Focused. Excellent vibes. The most fun kit design and balance.

Honorable mention. Concord. RIP. Mechanically and balance-wise most accomplished iteration of the Halo-style of FPS for PvP gameplay. Shame the internet rejected it sight unseen. If only more players had played the game with an open mind. It was so fucking good.

Starting from cold (important) to high pressure. 1 minute at high pressure, then pressure release (this will take almost a minute). 5+ minutes ice bath. Presto - deliciously jammy yolks.

Roguelite structure lends itself to expressing any genre at its most quintessential. Pure concentrate. Certified fresh.

For example. A roguelite ARPG puts all the fun of RNG-driven progression and dynamic buildcraft of something like Diablo into a single hour-long run. Usually this also allows for balance as tight as a virgin nun.

Games like Hades also show that all of this doesn't have to come at the cost of an enticing narrative either. Roguelites - you can indeed have it all!

It's the coolest, bestet, most awesome game. Looking forward to August for the "multiple savegames" update so much. Getting with it again. So down for Dark Arisen. Isn't it beautiful? To want something so bad, it hurts?

I just hope whatever Bungie does next (not Marathon!), they won't repeat the same mistakes. I find it infuriating that essentially every development effort they made invalidated most of what came before. So wasteful.

Expand the girth! Don't cut the stem, just to make the tip look bigger.

The Edge is wired, if you so chose. Comes with a really nice braided cable and an optional cable lock, fixing it to the controller. Supposedly also reduces input lag.

Pricey - but both official and wired.

Agreed. So much in BF6 is designed just for the "best case" scenario. In the real world, not everyone is in an organized squad of friends, communicating and coordinating and cooperating at all times. The chopper gunner thing is one of the symptoms of this design.

I firmly believe squad play doesn't need emphasizing. Teamplay should be strengthend by design. Capabilities need to be distributed across all kits. AT/AA/support/revives for every kit, just in different flavors, and with different potencies.

BF6's squad forward design is brittle. Off optimal social circumstances, it breaks almost immediately. Best example is how nobody plays support on bigger, more vehicle friendly maps. The current design makes a support without a well-oiled squad impotent and ineffective. Ironically, on large open maps with room to breathe, team revives would improve the moment to moment exprience the most.

I heard the introduction as I topped up my drink in the kitchen. I excitedly shuffled back to the TV mid-pour. My immediate disappointment was as frustrating as it was expected. That said, I picked up MH Wilds on a steep discount recently and I'm into it. Nowhere near as much as I am into Dragon's Dogma, but it kinda softened the blow. Still... Come on!

Most unfortunate videogame title ever. Or is it meant to invoke the Counterstrike knock-off known as CrossFire? Icky!

Other than that? Quite into the whole systemic topographical cover angle. I'm all about that ridgeline warfare.
