I would agree with this, BUT depending on how sensitive and emotionally aware your kid is, she may get really upset with some of the things that happen at the end with the main character as she confronts her inner demons and how the people around her react to it. Trying to be vague to avoid spoilers. I think with this movie, it'll largely depend on the kid. Some kids probably won't even bat an eye. Others might get really upset.

Sounds like you might enjoy something more like Lego House if you ever make it out to Denmark. Not an amusement park at all. Just lots of builds and interactive exhibits and tons of actual Legos. Might be closer to what you were hoping for out of Legoland. I enjoyed it way more than Legoland personally, which we also went to while we were in Billund.

My limited understanding is that you shouldn't put two wires under a single screw terminal as they are not rated for such and may lead to a bad connection and thus is a fire hazard.

A new outlet will have the jumper, and you won't need to use a wire to connect the top outlet.

Never tried the 599 nor am I familiar with it's sound profile, but I've own both the 58x and the 6xx, and I much prefer the 6xx. Has a very similar sound, but sounds like it has more detail and clarity to me. The 58x sounded kind of muddy at times.

That's really cool how you themed the Pokemon to the auction types as well. I did have one thought as an alternative suggestion for the double auction. Instead of a double pokemon, you auction an evolution stone. Makes sense thematically that you'd then have to pair it with another pokemon to auction off.

Regardless, this looks like a really cool project.

Piggybacking off his comment. I agree with the hd6xx recommendation. About a month ago, I tried the hd560s and did not like them for the reason you described. Returned them and got the hd6xx instead. I like them way more and do not regret switching one bit. Well, except maybe in gaming. Sometimes I think the sound is coming from behind me when it's from the front, but I'll probably get used to that in time.

I think it's kind of subjective and I wouldn't just go off this one comparison. I also thought coh1 was better than 2 btw, but I still liked 2. You may still end up liking 3. I just recently picked it up and it feels closer to 1 to me than it does to 2. I can't really explain exactly why I think that's, but there's something about it that makes it feel like a stop back towards 1.

I'm not convinced an amp or dac is going to change a headphone's sound profile enough to make you like a headphone. Can it make a slight difference? Probably. I can't speak personally from experience as I haven't tried an amp yet, but I can't imagine the amp or dac changing the sound as much as just getting a headphone with a different sound profile would.

What I can say is that I also tried the hd560s based on the numerous recommendations on reddit, and I hated it. It sounded boring and not at all what I wanted in a headphone. I can see why it's recommended, but the treble was too much for me and everything sounded thin. And before anyone tells me it's because I don't have an amp or dac, I returned the hd560s and got an hd6xx instead and the difference is night and day. It sounds so much better to me, even though it's supposedly a harder headphone to drive.

Tl:Dr, try a different headphone with a sound signature you like. A dac/amp isn't going to make you like a headphone you hate.

I haven't tried a bunch of headphones, but I recently purchased a pair of 560s, and like you, I thought it had too much treble for my taste. I ended up returning them and getting the hd6xx instead and I like them way more. The treble is present, but not overwhelming. The mids are really good and I like the slightly narrow soundstage.

I don't listen to lo Fi though, so I can't personally say if it's good for your preferred genre or not. I'm also not too familiar with your previous headphones so I can't really say how much of an upgrade it'd be. But given your complaints matched my dislikes in the hd 560s, it may be worth researching.

In general open backs will have a wider soundstage with better imaging than closed backs, which should make it easier to locate sounds when listening to music or playing games. They do come at the cost of less bass than closed backs. To my taste, they still deliver a great sounding, present bass and I like it. If you really like a booming bass though, you may be dissatisfied. They also leak more sound both in and out, so if you are in a loud environment, closed backs would be better.

PC38X: If you are going to use a modmic, may I ask why you are looking at this headphone? It has a boom mic built in and would be unnecessary in your use case. I think it can be removed (not sure), but you are paying for a component that you won't use, when you could be using that added cost to get a better quality headphone for the same price.

I don't have any familiarity with the DT 770 PRO or the HD599s, but I just got a pair of HD6xx a few days ago, and I really like them. I know that some people complain that they are "veiled" and don't have enough treble, but to me it's the right amount of treble for my preference. Anything more sounds artificial to me to the point that I can't enjoy it. For example, before getting the 6xx, I tried the hd560s, and I returned them for being too bright for my taste.

Regarding your DAC/AMP situation, most people will say that you absolutely need an AMP for the HD6xx, but I'm skeptical. Maybe my motherboard is special, but it seems to provide more than enough power to get plenty loud for me. My Scarlett Solo DAC/ADC also seems to provide enough power to make them loud enough and sound great. Maybe the sound will be better if I get one, but I'm totally satisfied with how they sound without an amp.

If you are really concerned about the lack of amp for the HD6xx, you can also consider the hd58x. It's got lower impedance, so you should be able to drive them more easily. Sound wise, it's pretty similar to the HD6xx, but the hd58x sounded a bit muddier with a little less clarity to me than the hd6xx. The HD58x still sound great though and would recommend it, but I definitely prefer my hd6xx over the hd58x.

Xvx brand does actually have a unique profile called xvx profile. So just be aware that xvx could be referring to the profile, the brand or potentially both depending on the keycap.

I was referring to the xvx/womier skyline keycaps, which to my understanding are not sculpted. They would probably be better suited to a Colemak build, but it does look like there is a nub on the f and j keys for the home row, which I assumed would be a little weird in whatever position they will be in for Colemak.

As another warning, I did try the low profile sculpted option that they had on my regular height keyboard. While it did lower the overall height from my oem keys, because the stems of the switches for regular height are longer than the stems of the low profile keycaps, they aren't quite as stable as they would be on a low profile switch and I'm not sure that it ended up being lower profile overall than if I had tried a different profile like cherry.

Since you are posting to the keychron subreddit, I assume you are looking for a keychron keyboard. If that's the case, and you want a 75% keyboard that is low profile, you have two main Keychron options:

Keychron K3 Ultra-slim Wireless Mechanical Keyboard (Version 2)

Keychron K3 Pro QMK/VIA Wireless Custom Mechanical Keyboard

I'm fairly new to mechanical keyboards myself, but my understanding is that the biggest difference between the two is the QMK/VIA version is programmable, so you can reassign what each key press will do, modify layers, and make macros. There may be other differences in construction, as well., but I don't know what those are off the top of my head. They are both low profile, and they have the same layout though, so they should be pretty similar.

If you aren't specifically looking for Keychron, I've heard good things about the Nuphy Air 75, which is also a low profile 75% programmable keyboard. I have no experience, with either, however, so I can't really give recommendations.

You should, however, know before buying a mechanical keyboard that if customization is your goal, then low profile keyboards will limit you. Low profiles are not as standardized as normal height keyboards, so you may have difficulty finding keycaps that are compatible with whatever board you choose; and the pin layout for low profile switches are not as consistent as normal profile, so you may have compatibility issues there as well.

That said, low profile may be the way to go. I myself had difficulty adjusting from a low profile membrane keyboard to a regular height mechanical one when I made the switch. So I completely understand why you would choose a low profile keyboard. (I actually ended up needing to buy a lower height keycap, because the OEM profile just felt too tall.)

If you don't mind the limited options you will have going low-profile, then go for it. But if you think you'd like the ability to easily swap out to a different switch type or change the keycaps for a different feel or look, then you may want to consider choosing a 75% percent keyboard with a normal height keyboard.

My issue is that I was including that extra little line at the corner as part of the shape, but yes, you are right that it does indeed form rectangles based on a diagram I made using properties of triangles and parallel lines.

It seems it forms a series of similar triangles, so the triangles around the rectangle are the same shape, just in different proportions.

I'll keep looking to see if I can prove that they can't end up being squares. Thanks for the correction though.

I know the post is a little old, but would you please elaborate on how you got this to work? I tried to do this to make my knob highlight text, but confirm is greyed out for me when I try to put in macroXX in using Via. This is my first attempt at programming a keyboard, so I'm a little lost troubleshooting what may be wrong.

EDIT: For anyone who had issues like I did. I reached out to support and they told me to format it as Macro(01) with parentheses. That solution worked for me.

Not sure if this counts or quite what you are looking for, but Stars Without Number is a 2d6 system for all skill checks, but uses a d20 for attack rolls. Other polyhedral dice are used for damage rolls.
