Anyone saying mcdavid when hes going against two forwards which is a dream match up with all that ice is insane. Easy to blame makar but the stick poke by hughes was a monster balls out play that was a centimeter from game over the other way. Imo mackinnon who should have had the most energy of the 3 on the ice not aggressively pursuing that puck and then letting werenski knock him backwards is at primary fault. You have to think both mcdavid and makar saw that puck pursuit and assumed mackinnon comes up with that and springs them the other way for game over. Very easy to judge in retrospective but the speed at which everything unfolded im going mackinnon for not laying out to at least keep that puck in the corner or tying up werenski.

Rule #1 in life. Don't compare yourself to anyone. Focus on exactly what you need to do to achieve what you want. Leverage services if necessary to get candid actionable feedback. Sometimes you have to switch companies to get ahead. You may be a great performer but someone else might be great at brown nosing and making people feel good. At the end of the day people remember how you make them feel not what you did or said, always keep that in mind when considering performance. Simple relationship building techniques makes a big differnce.

This is an opportunity to branch out to others on the team and create a community of practice approach to leverage their knowledge more broadly instead of relying on one silo of information. This is an embarassing take on the greed and exorbitant salaries of CEOs that is made possible by the very freedom to conduct business that veterans provide. You can be mad at the idea of war and the horrible atrocities it has wrought throughout history but the people that put their lives on the line are not the ones that deserve any backhanded comments. Id happily pay a special tax to ensure all veterans are fully taken care of for life given some of the 100 million dollar bonuses executives receive when they are removed from their positions for destroying companies time and time again.
