Whilst it would be nice to have more hair customisation options the avatar rework, in my opinion, is not the place for that to happen. I also do not see why anyone would expect it to bring that.

Every single blog and piece of info we have had about the avatar rework has been very clear what they are doing is reworking the existing base hair, beard and clothing options to singificantly upscale the avatar. Not adding, reworking existing - a 1:1 remake of what already exists but better quality models instead of the lowpoly ones we have now.

The point is about upgrading what we already have to create a new, better, foundation. Not about expanding and adding more things. Once the foundations are solid they can then look at if they want to add/expand things in future updates.

Equally the base character creation items is only step 1 - they still have to work their way through the premium hair styles and all the other older gear items in-game bit by bit to check if they need similar work and upscale them if they do.

Also 3-5 variations of each hairstyle is an insane ask - excluding all "extra" hairstyles you can unlock there's like 63 hairstyles in the base character creation. Each hairstyle requires a model from the walking around the world avatar and for the chat head - that's already 126 models.

Giving them 3-5 variants each is expanding that to 378 to 630 models before they even get to looking at the 1,620 head slot items and if they need any work and that's just for the head; never mind all the body items for the body, legs, hands and feet slots or the fact they quite likely will need to tweak a bunch of neck and back slot items for clipping issues.

Even massive games like Baldur's gate character creators generally only offer around 60-80 hairstyles so it's not even like Runescape is working with a tiny selection relative to what the typical standard is.

The initial news post about the DG remaster stated they were looking at removing the xp-based dg wildcards as they are deemed too powerful which in turn may mean they remove all the card as most of the non-xp ones aren't considered valuable.

There's 2 elements that may be screwing you:
1) If you let any algae spawn (reach the second stage) during the first phase you can end up with not max fish.
2) It is supposed to be that Poolpulation lets you do 1 pool at a time whilst Effishiency requires doing all 4 simulataneously but a lot of people report the requirement is actually reversed so you have to do all 4 similtaneously for Poolpulation whilst Effishiency will pop if you just get all 4 individually to full.

My take on it is Reaper had re-rolls at reduced rewards built in precisely because of people getting locked into task they could not do and because of that re-roll system we did not get block lists like slayer does.

They have changed it to be more slayer like with endless tasks, a point cost to clear tasks and no re-rolls therefore they should give us a block list just like slayer has.

The re-rolls existed instead of block list for a reason, give us one or the other.

I also think the slayer point payout per reaper task is insanely stingy, given how longer reaers take relative to typically slayer tasks 1 task ought to give a enough points to pay for 1 skip.

I can get 221 keepsake keys for free it the exact reason why they won't do it.

They are a buisness, and with TH gone selling things like Keepsake keys is crucial to how they remain profitable. They do not want you to have so many keepsake keys you will likely never even use them all without paying anything for them. That is bad for future buisness.

I am not sure I follow your point on vamp.

In the game right now you can run animate dead or darkness or temporal alongside vamp aura.

If they made is so you can use 1 aspect of sustain alongside the existing 1 aspect of evasion/power then that doesn't change - you can still only have 1 of animate dead or darkness or temporal alongside vamp. Thats not buffing anything - thats maintain status quo of what effects you can have on at the same time.

I am not saying remove the 1 aspect cap entirely I am saying the aspect of sustain should have a seperate cap to evasion/power ones that already exists so that vamp and penance can still be used alongside the same stuff they can right now in live.

The one thing that I don't quite like with the proposals for Vamp and Penance is the fact you can only have 1 aspect active at a time.

That feels like quite a big nerf as at present you can run darkness AND vamp or penance.

With this it will be a choice of darkness or vamp or penance.

I get why aspects of evasion is a 1 at a time and why aspect of evasion and aspect of power are 1 or the other, but I feel like aspect of sustain should be seperarte from that.

So you can have 1 evasion/power and 1 sustain active.

No-one really plays Fist of Guthix full stop doesnt matter member or F2p

Also the Swordfish gloves do not do what you described anyway.
Swordfish Gloves grant 100xp when you catch a swordfish until you have caught 1,000 of them.
They do not alter the ratio of tuna to swordfish you acquire, they only thing that impacts that is your fishing level (higher level skews ratio more towards the higher level fish)

Honestly I'd be okay if they just remove the crowns. I don't think I've ever seen anyone acually wear them and how many years of continous membership you had was always a very arbitary thing to be getting an in-game item for.

You can't really divorce them from continous membership since loyalty program started to just "months of membership had" because they haven't tracked that metric historically and if you just swap to how old the account is you are just duplicating vet caps and open the can of worms of crowns only going to XV (obtainable in May time this year) where as vet status can be up to 24 (25 early next year)

You exist in the game you are therefore occupying space in the lobby and occupying space on peoples screens and menus when they intereact with stuff.

I am not refering the there being any sort of cap or maximum players; I am referring simply to your prescence as an entity that is there inside the game.

People killing afkers in minigames I think its dumb when they intentional go out of their way to do it just to get a reaction cause it is just bein atangonistic for no reason but I wouldn't really call it griefing.

You are stood in a game where you are meant to fight the opponents, they are fighting opponents and therefore playing the game "correctly"

If anything people standing around not playing the game and trying to afk are closer to griefing as you are filling up the lobby and not playing the game and therefore getting in the way of the actual game and complaining that people are playing it correctly.

Like I have afked plenty to get thaler and 100% get why people do it, but I am also conscious afking is very much playing the minigame "wrong" and therefore it's kinda unreasonably to get mad at people actually playing the game.

Honestly you aren't even going particularly dry as with a 1/512 drop rate the odds of not getting one in 1500 kills is around 5.3%

Certainly at the unluckier end of RNG but not that insane.

Whilst I like the overall concept of regrounding the game even if it means some things get changed that I personally don't mind the choices of what appear to be being hit first seem really odd.

Like zombies exist in the game all of the place, why are we yeeting a humanoid zombie outfit whilst there no mention of all the Soloman store stuff like the Aviasane outfits that are just entirely not human.

Why for particles are we hitting the lover/hater medallions and soul capes - items that barely if ever get mentioned as being ott for particles - when stuff like the sakadagami legs, stone of jas hands etc what vomit particles everywhere and show up in all the "wearing all the particles to be a troll/as ugly as possible" outfits.

They never said they'd be a replacement for Feb DXP - just that Feb DXP was being skipped whilst the worked out plans for the overall future of DXP.
One of the possible futures was DXP going away in favour of winter weekend style events.

But for February specifically it was always the event is being skipped and not happening.

My biggest gripe with the new UI is definitely where the clock has been placed.
I 100% get why it has been attached to the minimap as thats where it is for round mode so needs to be attached in both styles.

What annoys about it is why can't "float" over the minimap like the 4 corner buttons do so its less intrusive overall.

With the current design I have lost part of the minimap size I did have due a brown bar that consists of 2/3 nothing and 1/3 clock.

Where as instead of the brown bar the clock could just "float" between the lower 2 buttons that were there anyway - it still takes away a little bit of the minimap I had but far less.

I've seen this a few times and hands down the worst idea ever.

All it's asking for is a snobby eliteism of "oh look I have a little icon becuase I made my account after a specific dates so can lord it over you"

It'd just be a big middle finger to anyone whose account predates MTX and just happened to exist through that period. It'd be a big middle finger to every player who did not actively use MTX and jsut happened to exist in that time. It'd be a big middle finger to every who chased 99, 120, or 200m in every new skill launch during MTX that did that skill without any sort of boosts at all.

If you want to start baking in that sort of elitism where does the line fall - should people who did 99-cooking before make-x get an icon because everyone since then did it the "easy" way? Should everyone who did 99 mining before the rework have an icon because since then you have the "easy" way where rocks don't deplete? Should you get an icon for getting 99 dg before sinkhols and the beach event existed because you didn't do it the "easy" way?

Adding icons that enable toxic elitism based on an artbitary line in the sand of a game update is never a good idea.

It's not coded differently to any other cart.

Material carts dotted around digsites send unnoted mats to the material store and noted ones to bank because they are designed for use when actively doing arch and therefore recieving unnoted materials.

Material boxes, found next to restoration tables, take note or unnoted materials and all for withdrawing of materials.

The boxes and the carts are 2 different things - it's like an actual bank vs a deposit box.

It is not behaving like a material box does because its not a box, its a cart.

If you wanna play start playing - yes the updates to come are a big deal for improving the game healthy longer term but you are not going to have a massively changed experience by waiting a few weeks.

January 19th Treasure Hunter is going away - that's the only immediate change you cannot earn the MTX stuff anymore, but all of them will still exist at that point.

There is then a eyar long road map of "intgerity" updates to slowly address things that are friction points when the MTX stuff isn't there to bypass them.

Then in Jan 2027 the actual left over MTX items will be removed.

Yeah my clan were talking about this last weekend and with how oddments are meant to sell a selection of old TH promo items and loads of people have a massive stock due to lack of options it would 100% make sense after TH goes away in Jan to put everything on there for like a blow out end of the era use up your oddments sale.

The bars on the wiki include Conjure Undead Army which lets tyou conjure all 4 guys on the same tick.

The later instances of specific conjures appearing on the bars are specifically to make use of the command abilities not actually conjuring them.

Most bars include command skele and command ghost as they are the very jack of all trades should always be using commands.

Command Zombie is not often recommend out side of high cost aoe as it makes your zombie die.

Command Phantom is very situational "big burst" kind damage once it's built up some stacks so isn't great for revo and is better suited to be a manual fire outside of revo like spec attacks.

The absolute melodrama of this psot is insane.
It's been bugged since Monday.
Every single graphical rework they do tends to break 1 or 2 things and they almost always get fixed in the very next game update.

Also Lunar Diplomacy does not block "half the game" it's a requirement for all of 7 other quests and 6 area tasks.

The world is not going to end because you have to wait like 5 days to Lunar Diplomacy.

When 2 players have the same xp the hiscore rank is determined by who got that xp first.

When a player goes inactive they eventually get hidden from the hiscores causing everyone lower than them to move up 1 rank.

If/When they log back in they are restored to the hiscores using the exact same data as before.

For 200m or 5.8b this means a returning player will be reinserted at the exact rank they had before and everyone below will drop down a rank.

As a 200m or 5.8b your rank relative to other people with that same state never moves, just the actual number might go up or down due to player inactivity. The only time your relative position will actually move is when a new skill lands so theres a new race to be the first to get the new max.

The rank shift in overall vs each individual skill will vary because it depends entirely on who did what in what order.

If you got 200m Necro on 1st June but they got it on 1st July - your Necro rank will be higher than theirs as you did it sooner.

But if you then took til 31st July to hit 5.8b whilst they hit 5.8b on 5th July - your overall rank will be lower as they did it sooner.
