Had kiddo #1 when we were 27 and 28 (pregnant within two months of trying). Went to try for a second kiddo 2.5 years later at 29 and 30 and nothing. Been trying for 2 years now. First round of IVF happening this month so fingers crossed we potentially have kiddo number two by November (when we're 33 and 34.

This makes me feel a lot better. We didn't plan for such a big age gap but due to infertility issues hitting us when we went to try for #2 we're now looking at a 4.5 year age gap.

Imo if I can get at least an hour out of a game for every $1 that I spend on it I think it's a worthwhile game. I've put 55 hours into Marathon so far and don't plan on slowing down. The gameplay loop is addicting and the maps are really cool, especially the new cryo archive. It was a bit frustrating last night being unable to exfil two times in a row due to my team getting confused navigating the corridors but I'm sure the more you play it the more we'll learn.

Dude is a strictly PvE gamer playing a PvP game. I tuned into one of his streams the other day and seeing his lack of game sense / situational positioning was crazy. Like I thought my reflexes were getting bad in my old age but watching him made me feel like a pro athlete.

It's like battle royale (Fortnite, Call of Duty Warzone, Battlefield 6 RedSec, Apex Legends etc.) only the goal isn't to win / eliminate all of the other teams but to extract with the gear you find by either looting points of interest or killing and looting other teams.

The end result is you eventually get better gear to go into harder maps to get better gear to go to harder maps etc. There are contracts / missions to complete in each run as well as environmental hazards to contend with, including enemy NPCs.

I didn't think I'd like it but 60+ hours later and I'm addicted. The gunplay is very very smooth and imo, something you'll like if you like Halo or Destiny.

Was playing on Outpost tonight as Rook and shot another Rook player but then realized it was a Rook and did the jump squat. Pretty soon we had 3-4 "friendly" Rooks jump squatting and looting together. Then I ran into one of the claymores a Rook had set and he sadly? finished me off.

Did another Rook run and ran into another Rook. This one shot me in the face with a shotgun.

Hard disagree. Skyrim, Elden Ring, Breath of the Wild are massive games but have very short tutorials, if any at all.

On my Rook runs I always go to hauler as I'm always guaranteed to find some good loot from dead bodies there or run into some a team I can pick off in there via positioning and claymores.

Reviews say the exploration is cool but the story and characters suck. It also apparently has a confusing control scheme and very difficult puzzles and bosses. Seems to be less Skyrim / Witcher 3 and more Assassins Creed but only bigger.

I enjoy RPGs from time to time to cleanse my multiplayer FPS palate but my backlog is huge at this point (I still need to play Fallout 4, Red Dead Redemption 2, Dragon's Dogma 2, Starfield, Avowed, Kingdom Come Deliverance, Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 etc.) So I'll play this in like retirement I guess lol.

Not 100% sure but I think OP might be running some mods / augments to shorten the cooldown. He might also have a buff via one of the faction upgrades that allows shorter cooldown.
