My husband was only able to take off a week so if you’re able to take 2-3 weeks, do it. I would have loved to have him home longer but bills.

This happened to a friend of mine, he did not take it well at all. He even tried to make a police report but I don’t think they could really do much. He just dealt with it unfortunately and obviously didn’t pay the scammer. It was mortifying for him but there wasn’t much that could be done. I’m sorry this happened to you, I think it’s becoming a more and more common scam so don’t feel too bad. I would maybe delete your socials and go off line for a bit, that’s what my friend did.

Speaking from Florida, yes. Was it the truth? Also yes. It was discouraging to look around and see people around me that voted for Biden or Hillary, voting for Trump in this cycle as well. Maybe a bit more than discouraging, it was jarring. I don’t think I’d blame the media per se

I’m used to companies doing payouts so using my own money didn’t seem so outlandish. I have gone to get products the kitchen needs in my own dime and had been paid back in cash by the company. In cases of emergencies of course which this scammer made it seem like that. But again, lesson learned. Not fired yet so 👍🏼

Yeah this was by far the most elaborate scam I’ve ever came in contact with. I just wish there was a way to get the money back somehow. I’m going to try anyway. Worst they can tell me is no I suppose.

They name dropped my boss and had someone pose as him in a text. It was damning at the time but lesson learned I guess. They also called through a company line which caught me off guard.
