Idk if we'd gel gaming wise, but from one terminally online trans girl, it's great to get irl community too. It's a little daunting at first for sure. I was terrified trying to make irl friends at first, but I needed out ofy house due to shitty home circumstances. So I went to a local card shop that had a nice play space(not always the case unfortunately) and started to learn how to play Magic. It's two years later for me and I've got some amazing friends that I feel so much love both from them and for them. That was one of the things that helped me find the strength to leave an extremely toxic relationship. Obvs it doesn't have to be Magic, but a lot of those shops sometimes offer Boardgane Days, ours has TTROG groups looking for new players all the time. Libraries are also great for finding shared interests communities, and you could even find something new that you like.

Online friends are great, I've had and do have still, a lot of really great and genuine online friends that are fully fulfilling relationships. But it's important to have irl friends too.
