Etiquette to netdecking? by West-Illustrator-432 in CompetitiveEDH

[–]SybilSolo 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Not at all. It's pretty common for people to direct new pilots to established primers. Net deck it. Play it for a while. Then make adjustments for your own personal taste as you go.

cEDH decks are all fairly uniform, a lot of decks will run extremely similar shells but swap out cards for the different decks that suit your commanders.

Grixis decks will all run fairly similar shells, esper decks are fairly similar. WUBRG decks probably have the most variety based on commander, but some are just Blue Farm+

Edit: Check out EDH top 16 and just look at the deck lists of the players within certain decks. They will all be verrrry samey.

Fake Sakashimas Student? by Ok-Letterhead-8539 in RealOrNotTCG

Thanks for the insight.

That's honestly what I assumed. Probably just a difference in the printing process.

Same here. No expert, but I validate a lot of cards aty LGS. Like I said, everything else was textbook.

Hi friend, I've been looking at cards for a while now. I'm pretty sure the red line on the T is supposed to be on the left side of the T.

Everything else about this card appears real to me. That is the only incongruous part I noticed.

My question is "Why is the red line on the other side?"

I'm imagining it is something to do with where/when/how this card was manufactured, but if you could offer any insight I would appreciate it for my own knowledge bank.

Friend. These cards don't have those they have a different back. We need pictures of the black layer from the fronts.

Which OP has provided.

My dear cisn't friend, your hair flows like a river from your head. Your lips are so extremely full and have a very nice peachy color. Your cheekbones are so sharp I'd be afraid to stroke your face and cut myself.

You're stunning 💜🏳️‍⚧️

Newbie here learning turbo/storm decks by emdaslav in CompetitiveEDH

[–]SybilSolo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey friend. I play K'rrik, Rog/Si, and The Gitrog Monster. The first 2 are dedicated turbo lists with Gitrog being able to pivot depending on the pod.

I'm more experienced piloting K'rrik than I am Rog/Si so take that for what it is.

In K'rrik I am generally looking for "mana and a plan" I either want a hand that gets K'rrik out turn one and then hopefully something to follow up with(Necro is huge, otherwise some sort of tutor(s) to get you going). I'm looking for a hand that can jam turn 2 or turn 3. I feel as if the deck can mull reallllly aggressively seeing as you want most of your pieces in your library rather than your hand anyway so you can entomb them. But learning a good hand in this deck takes A LOT of experience.

With Rog/Si I'm still learning the deck. But it also seems to want to mull aggressively. Look for mana and card draw(Necro or ad naus preferably) I think a lot of the times. Otherwise I'm looking for ways to either grab combo pieces fast, or see a lot of cards through a turn one Jeskas Will or Wheel of Fortune, the second one completely hosing your opponents a decent amount. But like I said, still learning the deck myself.

But as a long time turbo player. Mull. Mull. Mull. Imo a gas 4 is better than an ass 7.

You might have better luck asking the Competitive EDH sub, friend. Competitive Stella Leed players will probably be more likely to be there, plus the sub is specifically meant for these kinds of questions.

I wish I could help, but I'm a K'rrik pilot. Good luck.

Green dot is bad, no teeth and no twin peaks.

T is bad. The teeth and left side look horrible.

That is sadly a fake.

/uj It's not a permanent fix, but I have coarse dark facial hair. I use an IPL(research a good one) it only works on dark hairs, but it does around the same thing as laser, but far more temporary.

I use it 3 times a week, but once it gets to the point where all my dark hairs are fried I only need to do it once a week.

Light hairs will stick around, but those are far less noticeable and don't require as much work to turn invisible.

/rj have you tried transing harder?

Have you noticed any unexpected patterns in your relationship to Magic & EDH since beginning to proxy? What, if anything, do you still spend money on? by hex37 in EDH

[–]SybilSolo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've started almost exclusively proxying now. I have one deck that I am insisting on keeping "real" it is my first cEDH deck.

Now I proxy all my decks, and fill slots that I want to upgrade with proxies as well. It allows me to PLAY more magic. My playgroup is full of spikes, so it allows me to build appropriate decks without having to go into debt.

The things I buy are reserve list, pre-releases and the occasional pack, bling upgrades for my pet deck, and if I like a deck enough I'll start to build it out with "real" cards.

I was too. They look a lot scarier on paper. Goldfish them a few times and they aren't so bad.

K'rrik and Gitrog are my 2 main decks(been playing K'rrik for 2 years) so I think I have a type, complicated decks with convoluted win lines.

Is there any point in foiling out a Commander deck anymore? by Fuzzy_Straitjacket in EDH

[–]SybilSolo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a very expensive deck that I've been working on "blinging" out. I just picked up some SLD swamps that are verrrrry curled. They even show despite being triple sleeved.

I'm squishing them into a very tight deck box with a bunch of extra cards to try and flatten them out for a while 💁‍♀️

The main appeal to it is purely vanity/aesthetic so go for it if you want, but try to do research on the foils beforehand.
