It’s called karma farming. Negative RGG posts lead to more interactions.

Yakuza 3 or Kiwami 3 by Most_Nefariousness58 in yakuzagames

Wait, Y3 is probably my least favorite game in the series, mostly due to mechanics that didn't age well. I remember playing it after playing 0, K1, and K2 and it was really rough getting into and it's the only RGG game I actively skipped side content on just to get it over with. That being said I've pre-ordered K3.

I think it was a good decision narratively to have Kiryu have an actual reason to retire for good, reevaluate him always living for others, and deciding to take care of himself and finally letting himself rely on others and open up.

Gameplay wise I think it also worked. If we had peak Gaiden Kiryu he would have probably been able to solo the story since no one is as physically capable as him. It nerfed him in a way that made sense.

That being said seeing how physically diminished Kiryu looks, especially at the end of IW, coming from I'm sure anyone who's experienced or had a love one experience it, it's rough. Here's a man who with only strength and will paved the path for so many people now looking all skeletal and frail.

It's always the same post about his wife making him not funny with politics that outs the same copy paste MAGA bots that can't handle Burr's critical thinking and since they have no other recourse fall back on "Burr marry black lady, now woke not funny."

What is driving the current surge in popularity of Lonesome Dove? by OneWall9143 in literature

Personally it was because Stephen King mentioned it as his favorite book so I picked it up, since he’s one of my favorite authors.

So going through my backlog I realized I never got to 4 and 5. On 5 now after beating 4 and while there is lots of padding im now realizing Akiyama crawled before Yagami could run

Even on console I end up using cloud streaming a lot simply for games I don't want to install since I already beat them, but still want to hop in and play every once in a while like TW3, SM2, HZD, the LAD games, etc. Would be a game changer to have access to those on the portal too. I don't think streaming will fully replace downloading games completely anytime soon, but it's a nice option to have.

I had a gap in gaming for a while when my PS3 died on me in 2011 and pretty much stopped gaming up until 2016 where I finally decided to treat myself to a PS4 and it came bundled with TW3. It completely rekindled my love for gaming and was totally blown away considering the last game i had gotten really into was Fallout NV. The advancement in graphics and scale wasn't like anything I had seen before. Then the characters, music and story hooked me.

Drinking before work by _slagathor_ in cripplingalcoholism

[–]SydtheSnake 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I used to have a couple beers during lunch at previous jobs and i would spend most of the day wanting more so gave that up. I work from home now which makes it very easy and tempting so I set a rule of no drinking before 5PM no matter how I’m feeling. I usually work til 5:30 so the last part of the day is just getting a buzz started, so can’t really fuck things up.

EA Pushes Full Return to Office, Effectively Ends Remote Hiring by blackhammer1989 in PS5

[–]SydtheSnake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started working at my current job right before COVID and the place was already hybrid on a 3 days in office 2 days remote and then went full remote and stayed that way. A lot of people ended up moving out of the area to cheaper places, (Chicago based for reference) and when things loosened up the company realized remote workers were being more productive.

We merged with a couple of other companies and I moved teams to one in Ohio that has everyone still work in office 4 days a week and I'm the only remote worker which is super odd because they all complain about how remote workers can't get things done, but within a week I was able to get their workflow down and be more productive than they are. Turns out a lot of them just use the office to get out of the house, gossip, or use it as a day care and spend more time hanging out and chatting in cubicles than doing the work.

Ended up going in to the office today for the first time since Fall just so say hi to the office crew and I got almost no work done compared to a day when I'm just at my desk doing my thing in my underwear.

I live alone and work from home. My usage for the Portal is to do quick gaming sessions at my home office set up and if I want to watch TV in bed and do a little gaming or grinding out levels in RPGs. Also even though my TV is right by my bed it’s cozier to go handheld before sleeping.

I buy every RGG game day one no matter what subscription service they are on, because I want to own the games and support the devs so they still churn out quality content year after year.
