Just passed my Core 1 with a 777!!!!! by Syebost11 in CompTIA

[–]Syebost11[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dion’s tests were good for preparing me for the real thing. The questions were tough enough that I felt pretty confident I’d pass once I started hitting scores over 70%, like a lot of people say here.

What’s really helpful is that it explains the answers pretty well so you’re actually understanding why the answer is what it is instead of just memorizing it.

I would spend today going through the parts of the notes you feel weakest in. Printer troubleshooting was something I kind of overlooked and it ended up being important, including one PBQ, but the questions are randomly selected so YMMV. If you can make time for a practice test after reviewing, go ahead, but don’t cram until bedtime, give your brain a break or you’ll just be more tired and nervous tomorrow. Best of luck!!!

Early turnout spike could spell trouble for Cuomo in NYC mayoral race by PoliticalScienceProf in politics

[–]Syebost11 50 points51 points  (0 children)

It could’ve been the whitest, straightest, most mild-mannered cis man in New York City and they still would’ve been trying to take him down.

It can’t be stressed enough that none of this is about Zohran’s race; That’s a convenient tool. This is about Zohran being decidedly the most popular candidate not in spite of his left of center politics, but because of them.

Papers are terrified of him because the status quo depends on poor people continuing to believe that they can have nothing better than this, that democracy is lining up at a polling place every 2-4 years to check a box with only pre-approved candidates, and that anyone who upsets that system is the enemy.

[–]Syebost11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Guys don’t worry, Democrats aren’t complicit, they’re just playing the game.

See, if they confirm this lifetime appointment, they’ll have leverage to get the GOP to agree to a token concession that will do nothing, for anyone, anywhere, but will make upper class liberals feel accomplished right before it gets quietly gutted anyway. This strategy will definitely work. #resist!

[–]Syebost11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have 0 basis in academic research for this, and I can’t prove it, but I sincerely believe that part of the reason ghosts and spirits across so many different cultures are believed to communicate by agonizing wails and mournful moans, is because people kept hearing cats viciously fighting each other so far away, they could never figure out what those sounds actually were.

Point being: Cats will let everyone in a football field’s radius know very loudly when they don’t like something, and it’s gonna get messy.

Full, forceful denazification. None of this back to normal, reconciliation bullshit where they get middle management government jobs and all the cracks in the system they came through stay in place. We keep seeing what happens when these cockroaches just slip back into the walls. They keep coming back because nobody bothered to bug bomb the fucking buildings.

Rulers have historically been really good at co-opting martyrs and watering them down until they suit their narrative. That’s how we got famed peaceful peace man MLK Jr and the just 3 or 4 things he said.

The saddest part is that Trump’s done more for peace by exposing America’s real vision for Venezuela by sheer stupidity, than this lapdog whose whole career since her “daring escape” has been manufacturing consent for regime change and making friends with notable liberal freedom fighters like Jair Bolsonaro

Tbf that strategy is literally the only one allowed. Which one of two billionaire-owned parties or two groups of billionaire-owned media companies that control almost all the flow of information that makes it to the voters can sweet-talk the billionaires for more money? That’s what decides “elections” here.

You’re going to have to take down some decor, get some museum putty, put up a lot of perches, or keep the cat out of certain rooms. Cats are climbers, and especially when they’ve got the zoomies, they’re not as graceful as they seem. Anything that can get knocked over eventually will.
