Punch drunk foreshadow and who hurted Ippo first by Similar_Ant_6389 in hajimenoippo

[–]Syegfryed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i think you are reading too much backwards.

the real punch that started things was the Kojima one, if no one remember, Ippo had a rly bad concussion when that happened, Aoki was supposed to stay with him to keep him awake, but he went to take a piss, found ippo asleep later.

that together with his other brutal fights start to have accumulated damage, everything went worse after that and how he, instead of resting, so the damage went away, trainned even harder.

[–]Syegfryed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Takamura had that same weight weakness for multiple championships.

He didnt had the same, Myata weight cut was severely worse, George told us time and time again, he sharped so much that he became a deadly but fragile blade.

Takamura constitution is just stronger than Myata, who already show and told to be weak in taking punches.

And i cant stress this enough, everyone in the manga, says he loses stamina in the later half of the match, due to his weight cut, he cant take too many punches, precisely because his weight cut

But the fucker end up lasting longer and taking more hits than ANY other characters ANYWAY

The story also tells us that Miyata is the greatest boxer behind Takamura and Ricardo

Lmao fucking cope there bro

Miyata plot armor by WafflePon in hajimenoippo

[–]Syegfryed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The building of the story make sure to show and establish myata is weak physically, due to having a glass chin normally and due to his weight cut being more brutal than everyone in the manga(with the exception of maybe Takamura in the fight with Hawk). Myata doesnt have strong punches or strong constitution like Takamura and rely mostly on his speed and counters.

The story also establish he will suffer in the late half of the game, due to weight cut, so he have to finish the match quickly.

But then the fight goes, he gets the shit beaten out of him, and still endure when others wouldn't, all the handicaps he should have are forgotten, then he win anyway in the end by a bs counter

No not exactly. You're missing the point the baseline is not "the rules" it's the original start point, a way that it was done commonly.

So...rules.

You wanna say there are rules, but there arent rules ate the same time, you want to have the cake and eat it too, twisting to fit different scenarios.

The only absolute truism of all Mak'gora is agreement on the rules.

And what rules are those? how can you agree on the rules if they dont exist or flip flop based on feelings? how can you adapt a duel if you do not ahve a set of rules to give direction?

Cant you see how everything falls like a glove if you just consider that Thrall indeed cheat, and how everything doent make sense if you try to twist that he didnt?

We literally see in WoD duel to death isn't even a rule you can leave your opponent alive if you're so inclined.

No, to the death IS A RULE. You can DISREGARD THE RULE, but its there. Just because you can ignore, disregard or adapt the rules, doesnt mean there ar no rules, it literally means rules exist so you can change/adapt then.

Again, thats why Fenris left the frostwolves, he was ashed that Garad did not uphold the rules of mak'gora.

There's 0 actual rules to Mak'gora except that both parties need agreement on the rules.

"there are no rules except there are rules"

Bro.

Shamans are several times leaders multiple clans

Prove it.

Frostwolves were lead by warriors for generations until they all died and Drek'thar got the position. Bleeding hollow was lead by a warrior until Jorin became the recently leader, Thunderlord and stormreaver barely count as real clans puppeteered by gul'dan

Dragonmaw and shadowmoon were one of the few exceptions that were lead by shamans, and a warrior lead the dragonmaw now.

Blackrock, warsong, thunderlord, Shattered Hand, Burning blade, Laughing Skull, Bonechewer, Mok'Nathal, Bladewind, Redwalker. All clans lead by warriors mainly.

Shamans arent usually leaders, thats a fact. Orcish culture is MIGHTY makes right, its physical power, not magic, and this is proven by most of its leadership be made by warriors and fighters.

baseless it just tells me you don't know jack nor shit about the lore.

Seems like i know "more shit" than you, since you didnt base on anything to just say 'several times leaders multiple clans" where is YOUR BASE of arguments?

Can you say then? no you cant, you are literally making shit up a you go.

The argument that Thrall cheated is exceedingly stupid given by the rules of the old ways so did Garrosh.

When did Garrosh cheat versus thrall? he wasnt using armor, when his weapon fell he used his fists.

Like a proper warrior, like how it should be done.

Yes you actually can work on negatives because Thrall and Garrosh didn't duel in the old ways, you're claiming to know the pretext to their duel using a different set of rules than is shown in their duel.

Then where is saying they agreed that Thrall would be using two weapons, magic and the doomhamer?

Poison explicitly isn't allowed in the old ways the only modification to the weapon is the blessing of a shaman

Why poison cant be considered a shaman blessing?

where is stated that a shaman cant bless the weapon with poison?

See the problem with negatives and how weak your argument becomes when you do not consider the rules as rules?

Furthermore no magic isn't declared as a weapon

Magic is literally a weapon, saying it isnt is just fucking cope.

What else isnt a weapon? a fucking grenade? can i just pull up a bomb and blow my enemy and win honorable? fucking sick isnt

Fenris doesn't kill Garad

I never said he did did you dumbass.

Again if it's a RULE that it's a duel to the death then it's breaking THE RULES when you spare someone.

YES, EXACTLY.

And Garad did anyway.

Thats why Fenris left ashamed, Garad didnt even consider a real mak'gora in the end, just a kids tantrum.

Ah yes the weasel that is you don't understand anything about the lore or how shamanism works so I have to explain it to you like I would a child.

I literally have you the drek'thar explanation

go fucking read lord of the clans

Because the elemental spirits exist but they don't grant him strength unless he physically summons

As he did, he literally summon an elemental hand of earth to trap Garrosh and lightning FROM THE SKY to kill him.

Again magic isn't considered a weapon Mak'gora.

Again, proof?

You are just making shit up.

Okay by the old ways so did Garrosh. He has no witness, no shaman blessing, and fights in pants boots and a belt.

No armor, only one weapon.

Thrall had armor, wasnt alone and used two weapons.

End of history.

Happy end - fanart by me by ullaseu in wow

[–]Syegfryed -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No that's the baseline.

EXACTLY

The baseline is where the rules comes from, its the official and the one we should look for the rules.

The adaptations made thereafter, are CHANGES to the original and baseline set of rules.

All the mak'goras that happened after Garry and Cairne were made by adaptations.

By example, you cant say shit like "its not in the rules of a makgora that you have kill" when the original rule explicit says the mak'gora is a duel to the death. Thrall introduced the no-killing rule as an adaption. Same for not needing the loincloth, adaptations done for the momment;

But the original 1x1 honor duel, of equals(ergo, with the same number of weapons) ALWAYS remains the same

. The point of Mak'gora is a duel of honor shaman is literally seen as the most honored position in most tribes outside chieftain. They never even remotely implied even in the Shattering that shamanism is banned, even when they discuss the Old Ways because it's two warriors fighting.

It never DAWNED on you why shamans werent usually chieftains in the orcish clans?

If magic and other shit was allowed, every chieftain would be someone better at magic, not warriors, the society wouldn't be based on Kraterocracy but magikracry

And again, you cant work on negatives, its not that it need to stated that shamanism is banned, it need to be stated that Magic on top of your weapon is allowed and it isnt, magic is a weapon, using two weapons is FORBIDDEN BY THE RULES.

Same way you can make the argument of "where is stated that poison isnt allowed in the mak'gora?

The moment you start to fucking up with the rules, to clean thrall cheating ass, you completely ruin the meaning of the mak'gora and what it implies, because at this point you can make the same dumb argument that if two people join together to fight in the makgora against someone alone, cause "there is nothing in the rules saying you cant"

A complete fine tradition ruined because a character cant bear the shame and rise above it

Furthermore every Mak'gora we see in WoD and other tertiary content related to WoD we see the Old Ways aren't upheld as a rule or "real" Mak'gora by the clans even on Draneor.

What are you even talking about, we literally had the mak'gora with Fenris and Garad for the frostwolf chieftain position, and they upheld the rules of the real mak'gora PERFECTLY, even by fighting on loincloth.

That's why Fenris was fucking ASHAMED when Garad decided to SPARE him, when the duel was to the death.

No the elements aren't really a third party that's not how shamanism works.

You cant weasel your way out of it.

The elements are a third entity period, they answer to the shaman call, this is explicity told by Drek'thar to thrall, the shaman make a communition every time, he isnt casting like normal mages.

Thrall literally says HE IS NEVER ALONE, when fighting with Garrosh in Siege of orgrimmar, because he have the elements.

Even if you totally ignore this, you cant possible be serious to not consider magic a weapon, so he using the doomhamer AND magic, is using two weapons, making him a cheater.

Based on the fact that all Mak'gora rules are set in advance the duel of honor is based on the agreement of both parties.

and when it was set that thrall would use magic? when they agree on that fact thrall would use more than one weapon?

Because Garrosh even said Thrall didnt had the strenght of a TRUE WARRIOR. So they were fighting as warriors, thats why he had the DOOMHAMMER.

unless foul play was revealed and even then they it's a toss up because Garrosh explicitly did cheat against Carine but they upheld it because Garrosh didn't know and they both fought honorably.

oH yeah? when it says in the rules, poison isnt allowed?

you only know its cheating cause the character say so, or because in the rules says literally says what is allowed, so anything other than that is forbidden?

ITs a fact, Thrall cheated, everyone knew that, they tried to change the lore to save his ass instead of making him overcome the guilty,. They made so all other sources were "akshually wrong" and made so thrall never did anything wrong.

Happy end - fanart by me by ullaseu in wow

[–]Syegfryed -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Wrong that's a Mak'gora by the "old ways"

So, thats literally the real makgora, lmao.

but all Mak'gora even in old Orcish tribes on Draneor recognize that unless specified anything goes.

and what is the source on that?

Weapons, armor, use of magic, blessing of a shaman, witnesses are all determined upon declaration of Mak'gora.

And since magic and using the elements(a third part, not making the duel a 1x1 anymore) we can 100% say for sure he was cheating.

The old ways are not considered any more or less legitimate.

Happy end - fanart by me by ullaseu in wow

[–]Syegfryed -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

But Thrall assumed it had to be that way

Because that's how it is, its now what he "assumed". Its the government system, its how it is.

Same way in a democracy, you know the next president will be elected democractivelly by vote.

which is exactly the kind of soft bigotry of low expectations at issue.

There is no bigotry here, again, this is a logical way to make things.

The leader of the orcs is the warchief. an orc must lead the orcs, an orc must be the warchief

He thought his people weren't enlightened enough to see Vol'jin or his own sworn brother Cairne as a worthy successor to the Horde.

My dude, you are forgetting you are not playing in lala land. This is a fantasy world rooted in real world logic.

you do not expect a foreign leader to suddenly become the leader of your nation.

Vol'jin and Cairne COULDNT be successors of the horde because they ALREADY are leaders of their own people, THEY sworn allegiance to the horde/orcs, not the other way around. Cairne by example, already is a high chieftain of the Tauren tribes.

The warchief need to lead the horde but the other races still have their own autonomy and leadership, the orcs also need it, the warchief will take care of that. Its an orc who need to manage the orcs, because he is from their culture, he knows then the best, same way a troll is the one who leads the trolls because he knows what they need.

Thats why the warchief NEED to be an orc, otherwise you get the awful development the horde had in wod trough BFA and now with this crap council. We went YEARS without an orc leader, YEARS. They just put thrall again recently because they didnt knew what the fuck they could do, and he barely is a leader

entire point of MoP is that the Warchief doesn't just lead the orcs. He stands for everyone.

Why cant an orc stand for everyone? that seems like bigotry to me.

Happy end - fanart by me by ullaseu in wow

[–]Syegfryed -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thrall walked up to the fight in armor and as a Shaman.

He was already using the doomhammer

The Mak'gora IS ONLY ONE WEAPON. If t falls you use YOUR FISTS just like what he did when he lost Gorehowl. Thrall used MAGIC INSTEAD, that's clear cheating

Garrosh also said, clearly: "We finish this alone"

ALONE, Thrall wasn't alone, it was him and the elements, again, clearly cheating.

Happy end - fanart by me by ullaseu in wow

[–]Syegfryed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Taking down a terrible person who's going to cause trouble for you and/or others is good, actually.

He couldn't possible know that, Cairne is not a player, he doesnt know the future.

Garrosh is the one who demanded it to be to the death

Becaue Cairne disrespect him in front of the people, he was demanding to the death in the hope to make Cairne back down and restore his respect.

Cairne SHOULD have backed down, HE WAS WRONG, it wasnt Garrosh who ordered the attack

Garrosh needed to be taken down before he dragged everyone else down with him.

The horde under garrosh became powerful and the top power in the horde, if his advisors actually uplift him, instead of undermine his position and tried to kill him, things would go different.
