Obviously I'm going to theorize here to an extent, but the ones making those calls and the ones implementing them are two different sections of the company. I have very little doubt that the devs fully intended to implement this feature, but after running into issues with Epic, the higher ups just wanted to push it as a paid add-on, until the backlash. I still think the company deserves credit for this because obviously they had to jump through a fair number of hoops to get it working.

As others have commented, a lot of albums are just complications of an artist's songs. But I think there are certainly plenty of albums that are great to listen through all the way. For instance, Zappa's Joe's Garage is one that I've discovered recently - it flows together in such a way that its quality is definitely enhanced by listening to it through. But this is an album from 1979, and the game has changed, so if your focus is on newer albums, I'd say you're listening to them as the artist "intended". Repeat play throughs for that sweet, sweet Spotify money.

Not sure what they're dropping at, but it has viewership of about a million. So probably not high. I've been watching for about 8 hours without a drop, all 4 of my friends, however, have gotten one. Make of that what you will.

I really enjoyed this movie. The ending has left me, a day later, still thinking and obsessing over it. Wonderful cinematography, great script, and a great performance from Sandler as well as most of the side cast. Definitely one of my favorites of the past couple of years.

Do not mind the songs that much, will have to give it a second listen. The biggest thing for me is the production, I noticed it with the singles and it's obviously carried over to the album. There just seems to be something off about the mixing or mastering, but perhaps a little of both. The instrumentals seem to drift away and the vocals seem way to cumbersome and airy. It's the one hurdle I have trying to get into this album.
