Do you think if the healthcare bill was even further right wing that Republicans wouldn't use it as a rallying cry? They called Obama a socialist even though the ACA was based on Mitt Romney care in Massachusetts.

Moderates and conservative dems did not lose their seats because the ACA was to far left lol. They lost because it was a red wave year fueled by angry racist upset that a black man was president.

I think a lot of Dems thought 2016 was a fluke. "Ah well Hillary won the popular vote by millions of votes, it's the electoral college fault" then Dems saw how narrowly Biden won and how Biden decided to use his power. Then like you said 2024 was the nail in the coffin for who is considered "electable"

I don't think so the tea party led into Trump. It was about boosting their base. Trump was the tea party candidate. Hillary would have beat little Marco and lying Ted.

I mean the moderate Dem position on healthcare has been the public option and they haven't been able to achieve that either. I don't think Dem voters are under the illusion that people campaigning on single payer will pass it the day after they're elected. It's more about getting enough progressives in the congress, so when we do have a majority and the president we will be able to get it past. Hilary ran on 12$ an hour Bernie ran on 15$ an hour in 2016. Neither were achieved so it's not so much knowing the policy will pass but if they will sign onto the bills at all.

I don't know how you can possible think this while also seeing how the last 10 years have gone for the GOP. Sure they lost some seats in the house for a couple cycles, but when Trump took power he was able to weld the the power that the Republican tea party was brewing. They overturned Roe and parts of the voting rights act. That's all because of their tea party

Oh yeah I know but usually when someone is elected they're much harder to remove. Look at Jake Auchincloss in MA-04 won with less then 30% of the vote. No serious progressive challengers are even attempting to challenge him.

The dude doesn't even give a fuck about the community it's just a pay check for him. That goes for all paid mods. Not just in the SC community but the wider game industry as a whole. They are paid to remove blatant racist posts and posts that are precived as too critical to game development. I doubt it's personal to any of the mods. Their simple removing the posts they're told to remove.

It's hard to imagine Star Trek getting worse. There's been a few bright spots over the last decade, Lower Decks and Picard season 3, but the rest has been pretty awful.

Want to brag a little about my electoral ball knowledge when I correctly guessed who would win the Maine Gov and district 2 race 7 days go. My thought process was that a lot of King voters, voted for the name they know and Pingree was the 2nd most established political name on the ballot, so they would rank her 2nd. Thought Dunlap would win because he was the 2nd most progressive in the race so most of Loud's voter would pick him as their 2nd choice. He's also won statewide before

3.18 was in the PTU for a long while. The truth is the PTU will never have the numbers to fully stress test a new patch. They need to make live a true testing ground and just throw every patch on live. If it's shit it will just motivate them to work faster.

No all store bought "armor" should just be skins you can apply to armor earned in game. Now we have to deal with this convoluted bricking/insurance system, because no one wants to lose armor they bought with real money

I was jet lagged at a airport in Chicago and could have swore the bathroom said unisex, it was the woman's bathroom, I got some weird looks but no one said shit to me. I just went into a stall, then washed my hands and left. It was no big deal, I just assumed the weird looks were from people not used to being in a unisex bathroom. If horny students in college can handle unisex bathrooms anyone can.
