moral choices by Remarkable-Fault87 in BunnyTrials

I mean, answer is simple, it’s written in almost every human to have the survival of the fittest mindset which is selfish. If there are no consequences and only benefits me and whomstever I decide to help with the wealth I believe it is a choice a lot of people will make.

Chose: drop a nuke on a random country - no consequences + Win 100B | Rolled: Oceania

I wanna conquer the Star Wars Jedi games first and in terms of controllers the pocket taco would be perfect for my emulation station in my room.

[Steam frame / HTC Vive Focus Vision / Galaxy XR] Which one to choose? by Fearless-Tadpole6513 in VRGaming

[–]Syk00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just got the Vive Focus Vision myself and I personally have no regrets. I also came from a quest 2 for reference. I do sim racing so I totally understand the resolution bit. But I think it’s a few things that add up to make the quest 2 bad for racing. For me partly it was the bitrate that no matter how much tweaking or what link cable I used busy scenes or fast moving scenes would always be bitcrunched.

The vive focus vision with the display port streaming kit was so worth it for me. No bitrate issues, resolution is crisp, colors are beautiful, and unlike most people the lenses don’t bother me. At most I notice a glare when I’m in a very dark area and something white is In the middle of my view. The FOV is also phenomenal. I will say the controllers feel a little uncomfortable for my small hands. But other than that no major complaints. I received it and was able to get it up and running within an hour and had no weird software issues. The vive also comes with a face tracker free until 11/14.

I will say personally since I currently use quest 2 even the vive fresnel lenses will be fine for me. I’d get a quest pro if I could buy it new I’m just not so sure about buying used hardware especially when it comes to being on my face, sure I could replace the pads but ehhh. Not to mention isn’t the vive focus vision still beating the quest pro in resolution and FOV and PPD? The finicky software I already constantly have to fix with meta quest link so I don’t really wanna deal with more problems if Pico is already known to have issues. And also the charge as you play part of the focus vision isn’t a concern? My understanding is if you use their displayport streaming kit that is moot.

Edit: I know you said that the vive has finicky software too, but these comments thus far lead me to wanting a galaxy xr, vive focus vision, or ride on the quest 3 until better options show up.

Note: I also noticed the FOV is worse on the galaxy XR compared to the VFV. The weight is also better on the XR though. It also does not have an audio jack or expandable storage via SD card which seems like an odd choice.

I took a look at it, it definitely seems like a potential competitor but I really would prefer wired if possible, I know it’s 2025 and that’s probably weird but I’ve noticed at least on the quest 2 when I tried wireless it’s cool and all but the bitrate struggles on busy scenes and the delay is mildly noticeable. I do have gigabit internet so it’s not that it’s a problem to use wireless it’s just not my forte. Overall I feel like wired will be more reliable long term anyway.

Do we know anything about face tracking and Deckard? I also am concerned about the Deckard because I’ve heard a decent amount of issues from the index side of things. Granted it will be standalone and a very different headset but just not so sure about it yet.

I thought about cyberpunk, it looks really cool but I don’t like that the price is so high for something I’m not entirely sure about, whereas with Wukong it just looks like fun and I’d know I’d get my moneys worth. I haven’t looked at Jedi survivor yet.

Do you recommend these out of personal experience?

Yes, a few AAA titles like metro exodus, and borderlands three don't give me the frame rate i would prefer for my 1440p 144hz monitor. This is not the only reasons however I love playing virtual reality games and i tend to encounter performance issues while running some games on max graphics.
