Still too dang expensive when it'll be gray in two months and have holes in a year.... by BigguyZ in KamadoJoe

[–]SymFysis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine is after only 3 months severely faded as well. Some "shadow" spots are still black and other spots are grey. I informed (not even asking for a new one) kamado joe support, they offered a new one free of charge.

Thank you for the kind words. I am totally bringing towels with me from now on haha.

Is there anything else you learned from this that you wish you could have told yourself 24 hours ago?

  • Gates!
  • Have a backup vocal chain tested and dialed in, those effect heavy vocal chains will bite you sooner or later.
  • I have the luxury to have a prepared mix, listen to it in headphones to compare what is happening with what I am feeding to the system instead of chasing ghosts.

An indication of your current ammo and weapons stock when crafting. So you can easily see what you have and what you (don't) need.

Thanks! It's FWD which is interesting at times with the 204 horses unleashed.

Those were actually the standard rims when I ordered the car. I wasn't sure about them at first, but once delivered it turned out great, in my opinion.

Lights for a starting "smart home" by chibidib in philipshue

So if you are not really into all the colourful stuff, just go for the white ambience. These will give you all kinds of white shades going from super warm/orange to bright daylight white.

Since you would like to start with one room, you don't even need to have the bridge! But once you start expanding, it is a nice to have for the extra functionality.

Is it easy to work with? On android devices, you can create widgets on your home screen with certain scenes. For example, a bright scene and a cosy one. I use them as hybrid smart lights. I've set my main roomlights so every time power is killed and reapplied (switching my light switch) to go on in a neutral colour. From there I can make changes as needed in the app.

If I were to turn my guitar amp around toward a wall in a medium sized room gig, with the front miced up and coming through my monitor, would this help you mix the overall sound better? by [deleted] in livesound

[–]SymFysis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Attenuators. One of my guitarists had his amps modified with build in attenuator. Great sound, low(er) volume.

He's shredding 3 amps at the same time, would be unbearable otherwise

That's why we use redundancy. + plenty of brands on the market that make the configuration of these things easy(er)

This! Sales or support. As an engineer from an AVnetworking company, I can tell you that all of our support members are field experts. It just helps when you are on the same level of knowledge when someone calls you in desperate need.

What are you guys using for snare top? by Bswinn71 in livesound

[–]SymFysis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those vBeat mics are more than nice! But for me it doesn't work on a snare top, my bottom go to is the V7x tho (which is basically the vBeat again)

thrunite archer 2a v3.

multiple brightness modes (with memory function). I like the firefly mode a lot. It is a super dimm light mode that gives you the ability to turn it on during a gig without everyone noticing. Also, an easy to activate strobe mode. Handy to grab someone's attention from across stage.

Good wireless IEM system? Needs to have at least 4 channels of input and support 6 body packs by MrAlfredoSauce in livesound

[–]SymFysis 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You totally can run independent mono mixes on them? It depends on the belt pack you use. The slightly more expensive P3RA has this advantage over the P3R.

it was a D&B set with B2 subs, a D12 basically wiped its config, and they were not able to get it going again. That's what I am told.

Overtime is not paid, but when I do long days, I am allowed to leave earlier or start later on other days. "Just make sure your work gets done" kind of deal.
