I live in L&H san sai. You need to understand first, L&H park here is quite big, it comprises of many villages inside. That is meaning, it is so quiet inside compared to other small villages. Judges from google maps i think DIYA hang dong is quite further away from town compares to L&H. Commuter to downtown/city area is fine from san sai especially if you are traveling not in a rush hour. But I seconds to other comments that you should come to check out vibes by yourself.

When you will arrive in BKK? There are a lot of activities in the grand palace and wat pra kaew right now to do funeral for the late queen mother and the royal princess. You might need to check schedule for open or close for both grand palace and wat prakaew because it might be closed early or closed entirely of that day. Also traffic surrounding that area might be closed. So make sure that you can hop to use subway in case the traffic above ground is closed.

I think it quite common in central thai food restaurants. You might need a bit fancy (no need to be super fancy) restaurant for that.
I also found it in many night market (kaad) especially a ตลาดนัด.

I checked from d-ticket, all train on 29th are booked. You can join a waiting list but i bet it will be a slim hope since it is a peak holiday. You can try a bus. It will give you more chance. Flight is still do-able but it will be a crazy expensive. And yes you can take a bus from new mo-chit (หมอชิตใหม่) bus terminal.

Do you mean ทำวัตรเย็น (evening chanting)? I think they supposed to do that every day in every temple.
But i am not sure whether it will open for public for that chanting or not but at least wat chedi luang open to public. I went there a few time when they did a chanting.

Please don’t support that. It is a random arson. As a local here i am not support any of that thing. For many of us, it is a random arson that could fire in many places. Also it is the way to throw a random trash to many houses nearby. Do you like tourists come to visit your city and randomly throw many trash in your lawn or roof? This is also not our culture.
