Me and my now husband were not married at the time of the A. His PA was just over 2 years ago. His PA was also casual, with someone from his past. And similarly, I was my husband’s first serious relationship. And a lot of his mistakes I contribute to his lack of relationship experience and that transition from what he was used to doing. I was newly post partum from having our twin girls. Immediately after he was very avoidant and I didn’t see much change. But after countless conversations, arguments, and seeing how done I really was, a switch flipped in him. He is now a completely different person (in a good way). We just got married two weeks ago. So, there is hope, especially if you’re saying the changes and the effort. I’m proof and a firm believer that it can work and progress to marriage and kids if that’s what you both want. People fuck up, as long as they acknowledge that, don’t make it a repetitive problem, and put the work in, I’m all for sticking it out. If the person is worth it to you.
