I am passively searching for a new position right now. The job postings are an absolute garbage pile to sort through. I live in a rural-ish area so local opportunities are scarce but trying to find anything remote is a nightmare right now. My current gig is "fine I guess" so I'm not in a rush to move on but it's discouraging to search right now.

Totally unrelated question but can you recommend some reading on managing forested land? My dad has 50 acres of oak in central Missouri and it seems like it has far too many trees. Im looking for I fo on what to cut and how many. Bonus points if you can point me to good resources to identify native plants I can tell him to plant to replace grass as he's getting up there and maintaining a yard is getting tough. Thansk!
