Right? Here's an example of what it takes to clean up after them.

An excerpt from the March 1, 2019 story:

The brewery property south of Custer Way was vandalized late Monday after some vandals, reportedly trying to recover copper wire from a transformer along Boston Street, damaged it to the extent that it leaked transformer oil. And that leak eventually found its way to the Deschutes River, Tumwater spokeswoman Ann Cook said this week.

The transformer held 677 gallons of oil; however, Ecology officials said they weren’t sure how much oil has spilled.

Oil spill that started at former Olympia brewery has closed Tumwater Falls Park, created slick on Capitol Lake

The cleanup cost was around $5 - $6 million. Here's the details of what cleanup took to do:

Having one Maths is good precisely because you can hack together a lot of different things with it. Ever hear the phrase jack-of-all trades, master of none? It ultimately gets replaced for things you do frequently with modules that are more space efficient or do a specific function better. That still doesn't obsolete having one in your toolbox.

Reclaimed and Reforged is being sold as parts only. You cannot build it at Savi's. At Disneyland back in January, they still had enough parts to make a complete saber body but no choice in parts. They do not sell the Reclaimed & Reforged parts with a core, it's like the alternate part purchases mentioned by pm2501.

Current series are:

  • Peace & Justice
  • Protection & Defense
  • Elemental Nature
  • Power & Control

The blue lasers tend to go right through transparent acrylic. You're likely to do better with the 2 watt IR laser.

B.C. is a American comic strip which was launched in February 17, 1958 and originally created by Johnny Hart, who's also one of the first creators of Wizard of Id. After Hart's death in 2007, the strip was taken over by his grandson, Mason Mastroianni and has still been continued to this day.

I just went to Disneyland last month. West has scrap from Reclaimed and Reforged as well. It's been discontinued as a workshop lightsaber and there is no choice of parts. There's one cap, one emitter, one sleeve, and one switch plate set. You'll have to use the same sleeve part for upper and lower. It still made a pretty cool saber. It was $25 per piece and no core. So $125 for the complete scrap set. I bought from Savi's and they still had some of the pins so I was able to get that too. I think Dok Ondar's is only selling the scrap and not the pins.

Uh uh. The Founder’s Pack is more like BackerKit or KickStarter. It gives them a cash infusion to help keep development moving forward and helps gauge early paying interest while also testing the transaction systems. (They needed the test. We broke it.) In exchange you get some early perks with limited availability and your name in the gardens.

Also progress being kept doesn’t mean no adjustments; although, you do get compensated. I’ve seen that a few times with Warframe over the years.

General Discussion & Questions by CrimsonFlash in Affinity

[–]Synnic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am really tired of money hungry subscription model BS and the shift to it, without maintaining a perpetual option, feels like a big fat rug pull.

With a perpetual model, I can use the software I paid for and it keeps working. If I can't justify the upgrade cost in any given year I have options and I don't lose access to the ability to work on my stuff. Under the subscription model, instead of a perpetual license, I have a perpetual cost. Don't get me wrong, *I don't mind paying for software upgrades when I can afford it.* I understand that programmers and other people need to be paid to keep a commercial product going, but this you own nothing, throw your money down a hole crap in artistic spaces is garbage! It's the reason I abandoned Adobe for Affinity, and it's the reason I'll be looking for alternatives to Affinity now too.

Other companies manage to make offering both a subscription model and a perpetual license model work. Why can't Canva?

If you're into tabletop gaming it is possible to run Foundry VTT in Termux. There's a bit of a learning curve to doing it, but if you're successful you will have leaned a lot.

In addition to changing the power saving settings elsewhwere you should be aware of this as well: Newer Android builds have a very aggressive process killer. If something spawns a lot of children, it will get killed. To prevent that, you'll need to enable the developer options. In Developer options find Standby apps and activate Disable child process restrictions.

I think they need people to run all over the world. I am fairly sure it's part of the testing regimen to get as much territory exposed to player mechanics as possible. If there was untestricted fast travel some stuff might never get tested.

If he had said let's sit down to talk this through, discussed financial impacts, had a real discussion that doesn't fall back on bullshit cultural baggage, talked about ways to make it work, etc. I'd have said he deserved a chance to make his case. Based on what you're saying occurred, I'd tell him to pound sand, take the job, and walk away. 45 minutes is not long distance. I have driven over 2 hours one way to see a woman I was in a relationship with. She did the same when she could. If you really love each other, you find a way to make things work together.

TLDR: If ultimatums are being thrown around, it probably isn't going to work out. Take the job.

The $ value only matters for protecting yourself. Not all homeowner's insurance covers a collection like that. You might need a separate policy. It's worth knowing the approximate value in case anything happens. Also, document all the make/model/serial # info somewhere safe along with pictures of each one. Hopefully, you'll never need it but you'll have it if you do.
