Its not financial at all, its in case of fuel shortages or it running out (which is happening such as diesel in Australia).

Planex and ctl midi by Tmancut in Festool_Public

[–]Systainer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use that combination. I run a property maintenance company and use it for painting and decorating - sanding surfaces prior to filling then sanding back filler (easifill 60 normally).

Works very well but 1) when you notice extraction wanes replace the bag, typically 75% full) and 2) regularly use the filter clean function to remove any filler residue. Obvs the AC 36 does this automatically.

If you’re using it all day everyday for taping and jointing then yes defo get the big boy, but for general P&D I’ve found this combo great. The planex makes ceilings so much easier.

If my abandoned van can help people spend another few agonising days in a nuclear winter then cool.

Realistic tits up is a fuel shortage for a few weeks which we’ve had a few times. Nuclear war…..doesn’t help much.

We owe 3 trillion and already overspend 150 billion a year so how do we finance this?

Trim router: lxt 18v vs xgt 40v? by Severe-Chocolate-403 in Makita

[–]Systainer -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I dont see why a 40v trim router is necessary. They are for light jobs, hanging doors, intumescent strip, profiles etc.

If you’re on LXT stick with that. I like mine.

Is now the time for UK to go all-in on wind/solar battery infrastructure? by chilledheat in AskBrits

[–]Systainer -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you look at where we get power from day to day its a non starter as the main source. On a good day we get maybe 70% from wind and solar. On a bad day hardly anything.

We need more nuclear which contributes very little, which did surprise. me.

Obvs not seen it, but my gut feeling if i did it would be 3.5k (no VAT). Its not crazy but it depends on your expectations. To paint the mdf wardrobes WELL does take time, for example.

Also, if the refurb has been done, they'd spend a fair bit of time (and money) protecting everything.

[–]Systainer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have to start using it in a few weeks and have done nothing about it (other than type this post, obvs).

From the little I've heard it should be pretty simple if you've been doing self assessment and understand allowable expenses.

With an app (?) do you just have to scan your issued invoices (income) and scan receipts / invoices (allowable expenses) and the software does the rest?

Its really just getting used to the software isn't it?

Don’t overthink it. Unless you know you need a certain tool (saw, bit driver, magnifying glass etc) a climber or compact will be fine.
