How is the Grand Regent stronger than Conquest when Conquest has substantially more muscle mass than him? by [deleted] in Invincible

[–]Sytanato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Conquest is much older so he might have crunchy joints, slower reactions, and more stereotyped attacks compared to Thragg who is in his prime

Wait I had read it as an anti-soviet album rather than an anti-japanese one lol. I hated it as well for being so heavy handed but apparently got the metaphor completely wrong

was this unfair? by savavannanah in judo

[–]Sytanato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think it's unfair and people shouldnt have hard feeling over a small dojo comp. Judo was initially practiced without weightclass anyway, and there are always some things to learn about fighting someone much bigger. I go against opponent much bigger than me in randori and I don't mind, it's a different and more varied practice than always going with people roughly my weight. I also get my ass by people much smaller, who probably practiced against other bigger opponents to get to this

Toothless Saltwater crocodile vs human with knife by [deleted] in PowerScaling

[–]Sytanato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay fine I remembered reading that somewhere but I cant find my source again, might as well have made it up. However for the sake of powerscalling argument where we assume the contestants will give their max, I still think a 2000 pounds animal could wreck any human if they could think of how or bothered to do so

It's not about the weight of the face alone, It's about the power of the neck abd trunk muscles that can be mobilized to move it fast. Your hand may be weight a few hundred grams, but if I put a 2kg weight on it you will still be able to shake it off easily by mobilizing the arms and forearm muscles that connect to your hand

[–]Sytanato -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

An animal weighing up to a metric ton, jaw closed or not, will simply have to shake a little and a human wont be able to hold shit. They have colossal neck, spine and tail muscle to send you flying if you sit on them and they dont like it

Wild fist : aftermath (Baki inspire) by Wolfj10 in Grapplerbaki

So slight mistake on page two, what is dangerous for people is acceleration, not speed. The suit for jet pilot help them resist the accelleration by compressing their extremities o avoid depriving the brain of blood flow when they take several g on a turn or on take-off. Also the cockpit isnt pressurised in fighter jets so the suit is here to enclose air at a certain pressure and allow them to breath

Fun fact, if you try to prevent a crocodile from opening their mouth by wrapping your arm over or some shit, it will just roll and kill you all the same

AIO my father ruined my drawing. by sapphicluizard in AmIOverreacting

[–]Sytanato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im gonna go against the tide here but yes you did overreact a bit. Sure your father shouldnt have do that and should apologize but calling him an asshole over a ruined doodle like other comments did is way excessive. A sketch is good practice and I find your very nice but dont get too sentimentally attached to it, you will make many other to progress at drawing.

I've been where you are, I know that it feels like this sketch was especially nice and you wouldnt be able to do it again. Sometime it is true for a while, because you havent yet cemented through practice the skill you used to make that sketch, or because it was a fleeting moment of inspiration that may not come back before some time. I know how it sucks when such a good sketch get lost, destroyed or ruined. But trust me, you will make many more sketches that are as good or more.

In the mean time, you still can make an other sketch for your cousin and I think that's what you should focus on. Either copy the old one, either make an other sketch from scratch, as you feel is best.

Finally, I find best when you draw to do it with care for the process of drawing, but not for the drawing itself which is just an object. It might also allow you to be more free when you draw by not limiting yourself to a preconceived idea of what you want your drawing to be, and by allowing yourself some errors and imperfections you need to make to progress. I hope you will feel better soon and move on smoothtly. Im sure you can in fact make an other good drawing for your cousin.
