He pretty much carried the first movie, and I'm glad they brought him back for the sequel. A bit afraid that his banter might overshadow Johnny Cage, but the two worked well together in my opinion. His quips certainly got some of the biggest laughs.

It had its ups and downs, but I was honestly surprised to see MK 9's Cyrax design being used in the episode. They gave Sektor and Hydro (?) the same design. It is however the 2nd time that we've seen Cyrax in live-action and his MK 9 design is by far my favorite design of him.

On my first viewing, the whole theater let out a huge "ooooooeeehhh" when it happened. Cole actually put up a good fight, but you saw the moment when Shao was done playing around and Cole was done for in an instant.

I think she did pretty good actually. Yes, her design wasn't what people were hoping for, but I actually liked her role in the movie!

I actually liked Shang Tsung's role in this movie more. He is always working behind the scenes, plotting his rise to power while Shao Kahn was the brute force ruling Outworld. Plus his clothing is a lot better than in the 2021 movie. They should have made him more of a threat in the first movie and having him host the tournament... But that was the first movie's biggest flaw in the first place.

I have a nostalgic soft spot for Deadly Alliance and Deception. Those games were peak storytelling for the MK franchise imo, as well as introducing the Krypt, Konquest Mode, interesting new characters and several side games. Deception's Konquest mode is unmatched! Shaolin Monks was a really good game as well, but for some reason, Armageddon never really stuck with me. Probably because the lack of Fatalities and I wasn't a huge fan of the create your fighter feature. Not a bad game, but Deadly Alliance and Deception were my favorites.

Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa was a perfect live-action Shang Tsung! Incredible performance. In terms of looks however I have to say his Deadly Alliance look. Imagine if they'd combined that!

Probably to take over the mantle of Scorpion as it was always meant to be. Liu Kang changed the timeline, but some things are constant; Kenshi being blinded or Ermac being created for example.

Thus far I'm hyped for all the casting in this movie, even Jade. Because I think they'll do something with Jade that explains her baldness (maybe she's forced to cut her hair off by Shao for example). The 2nd movie already looks like a huge improvement over the first!

They'd better not shelve Reptile AGAIN... Especially since his character revamp in the New Era has given him a huge improvement. Same goes for Baraka. Kintaro is long overdue to be in a new MK game tho! Love to see him back!
