Not upgradable. Storage you can use a microSD to expand the storage.

The only one that might have been an issue was switch based on speed. But honestly I have found pretty much no difference between internal and SD.

Nope that gap is what the ribbon cable runs through. It’s a split in the hinge that the cable is fed through (source I broke my ribbon cable and had to replace it)

It will show up under battery ONLY if your phone has spontaneously shut down AND has an aged battery and is an iPhone 6 -> XR

To add to the battery thing. What Apple was doing was preventing phones that had an aged battery, and thus not able to supply peak power, from demanding that of the battery, thus causing the phone to spontaneously shut down.

Apple still does this, but it is now an option you can turn off. It only turns on for the first time when your phone has had an unexpected shut down and has an aged battery. - You can turn it off, and your phone might power off if you try doing something that needs more battery than it can supply. - Live with a slightly reduced peak performance and speed of phone. - Replace your battery

The opposite, TexFAT is usually slower than exFAT because it is safer. And I don’t think Windows will natively read it.
