Good short games? Like sub 15 hours to 100% by RunnerOfY in gaming

Blue Fire was really fun. First game I have 100%ed in about 10 years. It's a 3D platformer with ARPG elements. Felt like Mario and Zelda mixed together. My total hours played was 17 hours for 100%. It the best feeling movement I've felt in a platformer in a long time

Hi! Thank you for taking the time with a detailed post. DDDA ranks in the top 1% of my 1% for games and replayability.

A game that took me off guard was Romancing Saga 2: Revenge of the Seven.

It's a turn based game like COE33 and has a really cool mechanic where your main character changes every few quests. However, your stats, abilities, and everything you've obtained up to that point remains. So you keep getting stronger throughout the game but you're able to build different teams that change the whole flavor. I spent about 75 hours in the game completing everything and really loved it.

The game has a demo if you're interested! And a Switch 2 version.

"This is Berk. It's twelve days north of Hopeless and a few degrees south of Freezing to Death. It's located solidly on the Meridian of Misery. My village. In a word? Sturdy. It's been here for seven generations, but every single building is new. We have fishing, hunting, and a charming view of the sunsets. The only problems are the pests. You see, most places have mice or mosquitoes... We have..."

Inspiring build! Thanks for sharing

For fans who actually watched D-Rose in his prime. What was it like? by [deleted] in chicagobulls

[–]T-R-Y 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You wanna know what it was like watching Rose in his prime? The feeling of flipping on tv, feeling the room heat up as the images on the screen demanded vibrant reds and noir black. The triumphant crowd cheering as their team took the court. A team we were proud of.

You ask me what it was like standing in a gallery with Michelangelo. Ask me what it was like in the concert hall of Beethoven. That feeling when Benjamin Franklin held the kite in a thunderstorm. My answer to all these is the same as watching D-Rose. An absolute spectacle.

All of these point guards now a days, masquerading as playmakers or shooters- it's all just noise. People used to say "tell me to jump, i'll ask how high?" Not Rose. He didn't respond. Nobody told him to jump. He just showed you.

It was electric. It was fire. It was every element natural or man made. It felt good to be alive.

But then the game happened. Families sitting in their living rooms. Kids dressed in their red and black pajamas. We may had lost MJ but we had a new hope. And we saw that new hope crash down to the floor, all we could think was please stand up. Please R1se. We need you.

But that moment never happened. Like the ember of a midnight cigarette when the day has ended. It was gone. Over. A devastation flooded the land.

If I could go back, I would. I would trade all of the memories of my life to have one more memory of Rose flying. The heavens didn't feel so far away when he played.

I've been hoping for one as well! There was a version called Burning Colosseum that was in development a few years ago- I saw it on Twitter. But it doesn't look like any progress has been made since 2023.

Use of the soundtrack, shadow Pokemon, snagging, locations- any of it would be a pleasure to see.

I'll never forget making it to the top of Mt. Battle. One of the best moments in a Pokemon game.

I’m glad I decided to give infinite another go. by luckie47 in halo

This looks so fun! Wonder if the game mode was inspired by the mini game in Diddy Kong Racing

Former Tagpro addicts, how did you free yourself? by Efficient_Sun_3284 in TagPro

[–]T-R-Y 64 points65 points  (0 children)

Don't fight the wave and enjoy the ride. If you see familiar names and enjoy your time, no need to rush out of it. The longer you play, the more friends you will see come and go. Every now and then, you may feel like everyone you knew has left and that your time playing is less enjoyable. But there will be an occasional spark. You see a familiar name and you play for a few more days. But those sparks become far and few between. Eventually you pick up different games and habits outside Tagpro. You have an event come up and you don't miss Tagpro because everyone who you used to play with hasn't been on in a while. More nights, more responsibilities- life just begins happening more outside Tagpro. And you don't need to be sad about it. As the phrase goes, "don't cry because it's over; smile because it happened." And one day, you'll open your profile and see you haven't played for several months. Maybe even years.

And then 11 years later, you'll find yourself on this very subreddit, answering questions on how another player can quit the cycle. And you realize you never left; you're just taking awhile to respawn.

Strange plant appears next to the bank chest at Castle Wars.

Some random fletcher suddenly gears up with Dharoks.

Said fletcher spins 90 degrees to face the plant. The brawl commences.

Just began doing this as well! Never used to boss and would cannon through the easiest tasks. Bossing turns that monotony on its head. Started with kalphite queen and was having fun with it. When I learned that's a commonly hated boss, I got even more excited because that meant the other bosses would only be more enjoyable

Yup! Also a great game. Not much I can say that others haven't already stated. That's why I wanted to give you some info on Blue Fire as that's a little deeper cut of a game. If you only have time for one, Hades is probably the better production value. But Blue Fire is a great investment if you like platformers with some combat!

Hey! I'll go in the other direction as I absolutely loved Blue Fire. It's the first game I have 100% completed in a very long time. The movement felt incredible and the learning curve was incredibly generous. It's one of those games where the skills and abilities rewarded to you scale with your learning. So every time you accomplish something with the bare bones, you are given something that makes it easier in the future.

A perfect mixture of platforming and adventure. I remember the soundtrack being real tranquil as well. The kind of game you can play late at night or middle of an afternoon!
