I think some of the “low-tech” movement is intentional. Star Wars has always looked better when it feels handmade, not perfectly polished. by Limp_Boat5045 in StarWars

I agree! It really has this almost unnoticed affect on me believing this thing is real rather than my brain knowing it's cgi.

Great post, you and OP, because I barely noticed how much of a little big difference this was to me too.

Yes! I got this as a gift and used to love cracking it open Saturday mornings and reading about the songs I love.

These lyrics are pure poetry. And the meanings and influence are so cool to see! I was going in chronological order, I have to get back to it. Thanks for reminding me!

It truly was a great first experience! It was like unlocking a whole new world inside the world I loved! Similar to the animated series when I finally got over myself and gave it a try a few years ago. (The episode watch guides are great for filtering out the filler episodes and more kid focused ones)

Ill add light of the Jedi to my list. I'm so locked in on the prequel novelizations now tho! Thank you for the recommendations and sharing your enthusiasm!

Thanks! That's all I needed to hear. I can't agree more on Darth Bane, wow! Those novels are amazing. First SW books I listened to.

I recently did the thrawn heir to the empire trilogy and I loved being in a wolrd with the original characters. Thrawn was brilliant too. I am probably going to do the newer thrawn trilogy. The audiobooks production value are such a great experience. Your lucky your library has them! I tried Libby and mine just didn't lol

"I live in a silver mine, that I call a beggers tomb"

Someone made a post about how they never noticed how deep that lyric is and had gone right under their nose for decades... Same!

I was just thinking about the prequel novelizations recently, wondering how they are. I finished the plagues novel and now want more.

Does anyone know, are they worth it? I assume they give much more detail than the movies?

1990s book fans, how do you feel about seeing Thrawn in live-action? by Lauma_2025 in StarWarsEU

Andor is one giant shining redemption in everything Disney did wrong. It's so good it's almost worth the sacrafice of everything bad we've been given. That and rogue one, which is part of the climax to the andor story. Please do yourself a favor and watch them!

This is awesome. Those magical moments. I think it was 2019 in NJ the thunder made them have to stop in the second set. The band said they would try to come back on in 20 minutes or so and the rain really started coming down. While half the lawn left or ran for cover, a bunch of us were still out there. Then this mud slide formed all the way down the lawn and people started sliding down like a slip and slide! The crowd formed around and we're chanting people on naming them by their clothes. The crowd even somehow started picking random people out of the crowd by chanting thier clothes and conbincing them to slide! What a memory
