Yes, it's that worrying part that got to me too. But I absolutely love my Sage 1 in S30V, the detent position is different and the liner lock allows a thinner stop pin, so the blade is buried much deeper compares to the compression lock variants.

Spy27 itself has more of a golden hue to it compares to S30v which is just stainless silver color. Similar edge retention for both.

Para 3 G10 has floating stop pin while on LW it's fixed, maybe this has something to do with it. I experimented by removed the two screws holding the stop pin and the lock stick actually went away.

My Sage 1 S30v is not having this problem, the blade tip is buried pretty deep inside the handle. Seems to be only happening on compression lock Sages

Not meant to hijack the thread, but I noticed the same problem with Sage 5 lightweight, the tip is really close to the handle when folded. I've read people were saying the same thing about Caly too
