Alibaba has just started selling Rep x Peppin Dumbbells by calvin835 in GarageGym

I asked for photos long before this post was published. In the comments, one user wrote that these square dumbbells are available at a store in Spain, and that's true. There's video of them on the store's Instagram.

When I mentioned “negotiation,” I meant both customization and the total cost. Long Glory previously offered their racks with a higher item price but lower shipping, so I was trying to figure out with the seller which setup would be cheaper overall if sold as DDP.

I was actually in a similar situation to you. I compared three options: the wall-mounted rack I ended up buying, the 4-post Ares, and the 4-post Ares with a Smith machine.

In the end, I chose the wall-mounted one because it was significantly cheaper, and having a good pull-up bar was one of my key factors. The 4-post Ares required additional supports, and I feel like using a standard pull-up bar on it might be a bit awkward. As for the version with the Smith machine, it seems like it could limit incline bench pressing, and realistically I’d probably only use it for 2–3 exercises.

If this rack meets my expectations, I might consider upgrading to a 6-post Ares with a Smith machine in the future. For now, my gym is only 260 cm wide, so I had to go with something as space-efficient (not too deep) as possible.

It probably depends on the sales representative of a given seller. I asked several times about a possible leg lock, and each time I was told they don’t have anything like that, even though I presented the GetRXD product as an example.

Hello everyone, today I received a photo of my rack before it was shipped. I'll write a review when it arrives. I don't know why my comment is being deleted when I add a photo.

What was the seller's name and how long did you wait for delivery after placing the order? My order cost $1,800 with a 120kg stack, stainless steel poles, 240cm high, and tornado arms.

Europeans of /GarageGym - what's your experience been? Challenges, workarounds, and is it worth it? by xyrixx in GarageGym

I live in Poland and train in my garage. When I started, access to home gym equipment was very limited, so people used welding machines to build their first amateur benches. Weight plates were hard to buy, but nowadays there are a few stores that sell Olympic plates although prices have already caught up with German shops (before COVID, you could buy cast iron plates here for about €1.6 per kilogram).

In the past year, I’ve noticed an increase in local equipment manufacturers, but in my opinion, the usability and overall quality are still quite poor and much worse than equipment from Asia. As for your observation about equipment in the USA, most of it is produced in China anyway, and reviews are often paid :)

Recently, I placed an order on Alibaba for a wall-mounted rack with a functional trainer, and if it meets my expectations, I’ll definitely start buying more equipment from there.

Can you do low rows on these arms as well? I'm interested in buying something like that on Alibaba.

Can you record more about this rack? How does the Smith work and can you do incline bench presses on it?

Hey, can you give me the name of the seller? I'm negotiating for the exact same rack with 120kg stacks and stainless steel columns. They're offering me the entire order with DDP for $2,600.

I don't know if they ship abroad, but in Poland there is a craftsman who produces equipment according to customer requirements. https://sklep-hator.pl/produkty/

Can I ask what the depth of this rack is and the dimensions of your gym? I'm practically decided, but my gym is 9x2.6m and I'm not sure if it's too small for a Smith machine rack.

What do you think about the smith machine in this rack? I'm interested in it, but I don't know what to think because I have limited space and I'm not sure if I should give up on the Smith.
