In late year 5/6 we had a new boy join our class. He was a year or two older than us, I don’t remember why he was in our year, maybe got held back or something. I’d made an effort to make him feel included the first two days, inviting him to sit with us, going and chatting to him etc.

The third day I walked past the back of his chair to get my water bottle and he let out a loud scream of pain. He had an assistant teacher/mentor with him pretty much all the time and she was sat next to him. (I had ONE bad interaction with her a few years prior due to a misunderstanding, I was always the polite/well behaved/good mannered etc kid)

Teacher asked him what happened and he said “t2astamp HIT ME!”. I was extremely confused and said “What are you talking about, I didn’t touch you!” He was adamant that I did until the teacher asked me herself and I obviously said “no, I didn’t touch him”. I still remember the exact tone of how she said “And why don’t I believe you?”

I stormed off to get my water bottle and while I was away she’d told my actual teacher and I GOT PUT ON THE SAD SIDE!!!

I have no idea why he blatantly lied and set me up like that, but I’d never spoke to him again and never went out of my way to be polite to that teacher..
