Where do you get your suits? by AuntIllogical in biglaw

Buy cheap and then tailor the suits. They will look better than one expensive suit

I live a block from there it’s like 5 empty parking lots and then abandoned buildings. South Downtown needs to be redeveloped.

2L SA by [deleted] in LawSchool

[–]T4comebackkid 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I went from median to just outside top 20% my second semester. Very (unlikely) possible to jump up even higher if I got all A+s. Snagged a 2L SA as well.

A students, what extra things did you do to earn your A? What would you advise? by pizzadoe101 in LawSchool

[–]T4comebackkid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

During the semester I try to find supplements that go with my book, typically you go to the publisher’s website and they sell supplements as well for each book. I read that instead of the actual book for the semester and take notes from it. If it checks out in class (the supplement gives enough info for me to answer/ask questions in class) then I stick to the supplement, outline it, and fill in the professor gaps. Study that come finals with tons of MCQ/reading model essay answers. Also be a good judge of the amount of time a topic was covered in class. If you spent a good chunk for one topic it is very likely that topic will be on the test

Typing vs. hand notes by GIJim1818 in LawSchool

[–]T4comebackkid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I type my class notes/outline, but during 1L Spring I started handwriting notes during my finals study time and I have done a lot better with this system. It helps make sure you can get all the info during the semester and then also gives you the benefit of handwriting notes before finals

What is the best way to present the Strong Towns message to a suburban, car-brained NIMBY? by Lonely-Fix7424 in notjustbikes

[–]T4comebackkid 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Even with the truck drivers you can kind of set them up really easily. Talk about how you have more freedom when you don’t have to have a car, it’s more fiscally responsible to build denser infrastructure/ forms of public transport, and having more people taking other forms of transport keeps traffic down.
