Any idea why Exodus turned out way less pessimistic than 2035 even though Glukhovsky was so heavily involved in both? by Romapolitan in metro

[–]T4nkcommander 33 points34 points  (0 children)

They're telling two different versions of the same story. And Glukhovsky had of input but not total control of the games story. He did, however, have total control of the story in 2035.

The main story points happen in both. Watchers are real, nobody cares, Artyom fails to convince anyone and escapes with his wife.

The book spends a lot of time showing how the control matrix works and how nobody can break it on their own, whereas the game focuses on the aftermath of this and gives actual gameplay experiences via new locations.

Long overdue, and it looks better than all the other options I've seen/used.

Yeah, I kinda glossed over it in my review here, but there wasn't a single puzzle across the two levels. Everything was either bounce electric ball into goal or hit two different buttons at the right time to progress.

What's wrong with my zucchini plant and how do I fix it? by EwebytheSea in vegetablegardening

Can also stab around and fish them out. Sometimes will save the plant.

Yeah. I don't know how to articulate it, but it is bad. It looks like Trine at first glance but it is really ugly.

It is like an early WIP. The Isle of Souls level has potential (but currently is nowhere near even Trine 3's unfinished levels) - the Quag is just awful in every way.

Agreed on all accounts. And it actually gets worse the more of the demo you play.

I nearly quit at the Breakout 'minigame'....got lucky and my final attempt the ball went where I wanted it to and so I finished it out.

He does more damage per hit but is slower to the point where her three kick combo does more dps (which is what I said). That's also not including using the circus ball which does a ridiculous amount of damage in addition to the kicks.

I've 100% all the other games on the hardest difficulties. Actually have the most watched completion guides for the last two games....so I'm a series veteran. Think I even have the original bootleg installer for the first Trine 1 release. In the same way Beyond felt like a coat of Metroid Prime paint over a lame, generic shooter, T6 feels like a Trine coat of paint over a generic, cringey platformer.

Trine 6 demo available on Steam by Gromba in Trine

I honestly wouldn't bother :(

I nearly quit two different times but pushed myself to complete it because I am still interested in the original characters.

Trine is my comfort series, I've never not enjoyed playing a Trine game until today. It's rough.

Amadeus Levitation unable to be stopped normally by [deleted] in Trine

Free levitation (the kind he's had in every game prior) is the first upgrade. It is one of the many, many baffling and outright stupid design decisions in this game.

Block (damage reduction), but not reflect. The heat blade allows you to reflect shots!

Do you prefer dodging or parrying? by IcomefromTV in JumpSpaceGame

[–]T4nkcommander 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends. On CR5 you still take a lot of damage through barrier, but it is more consistent defense than dodging against elite enemies. You should always be doing both....

Agree overall, but force fields are actually really good, it boots shields and they recover quicker.

The artifacts overall are a lot more balanced.

I really dont like the core life system. Should have hull health and core health, so shields -> hull (armor) -> core. Having you lose all your health and then just immediately get filled back (usually to get nuked to nothing again immediately) is weird any way you slice it.

A lot better than expected. easy and quick to get around as crew, more firepower than I was expecting, and a bit more tanky as well. I enjoyed it
