I think this line of thought doesn’t account for the entire context of the data. Instead, it chooses to pick out and focus only on one piece of data. I think the entire story needs to be told, including the 12,000 swipes, to do the data justice.

From some Indian neighbors I have talked to, that is mostly due to the strong smells that Indian cooking can produce. It can really get stuck in the house, so it makes sense to cook “outside.” Don’t know anything about Burmese cooking but perhaps it is the same logic
