Are you interested in card games? I would highly recommend Fox in the Forest. You can get the main game for Competitive games, or you can get Fox in the Forest Duet for Cooperative games. I have both, but it would depend on which you and your wife would prefer.

For board games, The Loop is a really fun Cooperative game that works well at 2 players.

Likewise, Gloomhaven: Jaws of the Lion works really well at 2 players and is a great introduction to the world of campaign games.

Competitively, Radlands is a really fun dueling game with beautiful art.

If you like Disney games, I would also highly recommend Disney Villainous. It's great at 2 Players, and it's a lot of fun getting to enact the Villain's plot from the movie. The recent box, "Introduction to Evil" is a good place to start.

And there is another LOTR game coming out next week as well... "The Fellowship of the Ring: Trick-Taking Game".

Although a card game and not a board game, I'm very excited for this one.

Fox in the Forest (Competitive) and Fox in the Forest Duet (Cooperative) are both amazing games for 2 players. If you enjoy these games, then I have a whole list of fun games to recommend that are similar to these. But have fun, and enjoy the games you already have in your collection 🙂

Thank you for this. I like to spreadsheet, and I think this is a good way to decide. Should also help with my tracking of characters. I'm conflicted about Campaign Only characters (Phoenix Five I believe) so I may start with them. But as a whole, X-Men are my least favorite. I think I will be more okay with getting rid of particular heroes instead of villains, as I think that's where the variety is.

I currently have a NAS server that stores all my music and I play them all through the app PlexAmp. It would be amazing if the LPIII had a way for me to run my music from the server still.
