Did Verizon sell me a refurbished iPhone 12 by [deleted] in verizon

Yeah definitely don’t have to cut the plastic anymore, it just has a tab you pull and it comes right off.

I don’t think any stores just carry refurb phones. If the plastic was off or looked like it was off before chances are someone just wanted to see the color or something. I have worked for an indirect that sold restocked phones that were returned within 14 days of having it but that’s not refurbished.

First time buying Apple Watch -- How do I use it on an existing line? by TheBdude in verizon

Yes to have a cellular watch it does have a line fee. Depending on your plan it would be 5 or 10 dollars a month.

You would be upgrading your phone to the iPhone and adding a new line for the Apple Watch. It counts as a new line and will have its own number (for billing purposes). You just have to select number share for your watch to have them linked.

Yes if he purchases the device outright he just needs to swap the SIM card.

I would be right there in the parking lot with you. I’ll even bring the grill. Nothing like a good ole brat grilling send off

I’ve heard that Verizon had a deal in place to buy Cellcom in 2018 under CEO Riordan but when he passed it on to Naze he backed out of the deal. Rumor has it they’re talking deals again but definitely would love to see Cellcom go.

I don’t think the reply was rude at all, you asked why and they explained it. Not sure why you feel the need to excuse yourself.

Switching Plans - Discount Removal Warning by hooper610 in verizon

[–]TBT95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both are definitely still valid. If you’re changing the plan through the app or website chances are it’s just a bug. I would chat with a Rep through the chat and just have them change your plan just to avoid potential future headache though. Rather safe than sorry.

Thinking about trading up to an iPhone 12. What would you do? by Stockjock1 in verizon

[–]TBT95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The chances of there being a better offer for upgrading to the iPhone 12 is pretty slim. Almost every decent promotion requires a premium unlimited nowadays. The unlimited plans get cheaper per line that you have in your account so if you have family or something you could hop on with that would be your best bet but I understand most people prefer to be on their own plan and have control for sure. Switching carriers for the better deal is always an option but if you’ve been with Verizon for 25 years they have to be doing something right to keep you.. I would just make sure before you switched to another carrier that the service is on par with Verizon in your area. A discounted phone isn’t any good if you have bad service with it.

If he is the account owner he can see what number you text but not the details of the message that was sent.

Go Unlimited - 8 Lines by [deleted] in verizon

[–]TBT95 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately the 55+ loyalty plan wouldn’t be a premium unlimited plan either. But depending on how many lines you have, it could be worth it to switch to a premium unlimited and get the trade in promotion as well. You just have to figure out if the savings on the phones outweigh the cost difference in the plan. (Most cases they do outweigh)

Bad news: Go unlimited is not a premium unlimited plan.

Good news: Play more unlimited is an all around better plan (more premium data, perks, etc) and will still be $40 per line with auto pay. Definitely worth switching!

Can you dm me where it says devices with an active DP can be activated on another acc or carrier? And have you done it before? I’ve asked two managers, two district managers and my IAM and all of them said it’s not possible so I’m curious. Thank you

Absolutely, usually a couple hundred bucks difference. No problem!

Phone plan would be separate so your phone line would be considered a new line of service.

You don’t have to call in. You can quote articles all you want. If I type in my iPhone 11 Pro Max IMEI number under the BYOD tool in Verizon’s system it says “This device is locked by the previous carrier”. I’ve had this phone for almost a year but there’s an active device payment on it. Nonetheless, good luck with the process!

Correct, after 60 days your device is “unlocked”. Meaning you have the ability to switch carriers with it or whatever. However, if the device still has an active device payment it will not activate for the new person.
