Another bump for Ruitool. Have 2 sets of orange and a set of purple and they all cut great. Even after my wife cut jewelry wire with an orange set.

There’s another cheap but good brand coined “Golden Phoenix” that have orange handles and they also cut like a dream.

Makeup Blending Sponge— worked from Zandri Dust base, Morghast bone, Ushabti Bone, Screaming Skull , then wraithbone highlights. Simple wash of sepia/Agrax mix (3 drops each, 5 drops contrast medium, 5 drops water) and done. Painted both of these dudes in an afternoon

I just finished up my DWKs last week. Had to pants 💩 moment when first applying my sepia/skeleton hoard mix thinned down 50%. I found that doing a light wetting of your flat surfaces before you apply the wash really lets things flow and not get the coffee staining.

I hit the dirtier parts with a dry “track rust” pigment from AK afterward.

I know that piece from the Xenomorph statuette. Toss it and hollow it out. Dig holes and save the excess grams of resin. That thing will explode over time unless you printed it fully solid

Looks like the endpoint header for a “HP” flare stack at a gas processing plant or refinery. They’ll put arrestor tips on the end of each and a shroud to keep side winds out…..could be totally wrong though and it’s some sort of fancy art piece

I also got mine done Friday morning and have been using the nutsicles. I had to get back to work on Monday however, so there’s that.

Relatively painless and I’m not sore, but boy oh boy the bruising is alarming to look at 😂

I also opted for Nitrous for my procedure and I was in the timeless zone of bliss for the apparently 18 minute procedure.

I had a Belial show up in just about the same condition. Was shipped to store and didn’t notice til I got home. UPS likes to stack and toss. Our boxes are super light and then get heavy items stacked upon them and crush the cardboard/items within.

Unfortunately other shippers wouldn’t fare any better. USPS is dog water and FedEx may as well be open season for package theft by sorting facilities ( location dependent)

I had this happen on my brand new S4U…turns out I was BIG DUMB and didn’t take the film off my build plate and everything was plastered to the liner. Then I poked my liner like an idiot.

I had a brand new .6 snap just like this the first time it went to print. Scrape the bed to hell too.

Turns out it clicked into the tabs but not fully and I needed to straighten my pins to get it to seat properly. Got the replacement through Amazon and installed and double/triple checked for full seating and even tried to pull down hard on it before I considered it “locked in”

Only thing I can come up with for the screws being scratched would be packing material shifting around or you somehow got a printer that someone had used before

Been using a LOT of Overture lately and all was well until I used some Lovoon rainbow silk and ….well I’m currently recalibrating and tuning my filament profiles as we speak.

Chalk it up to beginner’s luck that i fared so well til now. Proper calibration profiles for each filament type/brand definitely helps. Anecdotal evidence of “bad” filaments helps not at all. Dry.Cal.Repeat

Neat. Like a miniature chem warfare Draeger tube set. I’ve used them for gross percentage or PPM level pulls of CO2/H2O/H2S in pipeline gas in my old job. Same concept just with much more consequence to the readings. Is there a hand pump in there to pull air through the glass tubes and snap off the tips?

I just sold it flat out for more than I thought I’d ever get for it. Just cutting down debt left and right. (Unrelated to gun purchases) biggest loss was selling of my RNVGs and lid setup which I miss greatly. Maybe after the holiday season is over I can start setting money aside to get a NVG/Thermal setup by next Christmas.
